Weekly Reads: I listened to I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter on my trip and liked it. It was much sadder than I thought it would be though. That’s all I managed. Vacationing and reading don’t work for me. Sigh!
Crazy Kitties: I think Belly missed me. My husband said she’d wake him up in the middle of the night crying until he got her in bed with him and calmed her down. Makes a girl feel loved.
This Past Week: Was great. Spending time on the coast is amazing. We went to a wild safari park to see the big kitties and were shocked and delighted to discover we were going to be able to pet two big kitties. I was in heaven!!
Food Talk: Going to eat on the Oregon coast is always "fun". Every restaurant you go is seafood galore and, well, I’m allergic to shellfish (not so much that I can’t be near it) and I hate fish so finding food to eat is often difficult. At least there’s a Dairy Queen on every corner.
Plans For The Upcoming Week: Regroup from my trip. I came home to a mountain of paper work and a very dirty house. Sigh!
Wow! Your nature encounter looks like it was awesome. I love the picture of the ocean you posted. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It was an amazing sunset. The kitties were awesome.
DeleteLooks like you had an amazing week! I'm jealous of all your Oregon excursions.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun. You need to go!
DeleteI'm always sad to return to real life after a vacation, too. Love your beach photo! It's amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteRight?! It sucks!
DeleteWeather on the Oregon Coast can be so fickle! I'm glad you enjoyed both kinds. That safari park looks so fun and how cool that you actually got to pet some of the animals! My kids would go crazy for that. Next time we're on the coast, we'll have to visit.
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome! I bet your kids would love it.
DeleteLove that sunset pic! And the safari trip sounds lovely, too! I sure want to pet those big kitties.
ReplyDeleteIt was a gorgeous sunset. The kitties were awesome.
DeletePerfect Mexican Daughter is so sad! I read it a few months ago and was expecting a nice little self-discovery/romance but it actually made me emotional multiple times throughout. I hope you have a lovely rest of your week, Jenny!

I love going to the beach when it's cold! We usually make a trip in February. I'm not a huge fan of swimming in salty water, plus I'm terrified of being in the ocean. I hate not knowing what's around my feet. I enjoy walking along the water's edge and looking for shells!

Looks like you had an amazing trip! Sorry you had to come home to paperwork and cleaning. Real life isn't much fun sometimes.
ReplyDeleteWow those cats look amazing. And yay for Dairy Queen lol- that's always a win. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful cat! It's a little scary, but worth it if it goes well.
ReplyDeleteOooh! I can't wait to go see Bad Times at the El Royal! Glad to hear you liked it! Have a great weekend!
