In My Thoughts This Fine Day # 7

1 Well, despite decorating, putting up a tree...

and watching all my holiday movies I don't seem to be feeling Christmas-y. Instead of Christmas music I can't get enough of blaring this song.  Apparently it's not one of their popular songs. See? It's not just in books that I'm in the minority!

2 I've been slowly trying to get back to all you guys. There're day's I just can't muster up the energy to even read let alone blog but I'm getting better, I swear! Thanks for bearing with me. I love that I can go days or weeks without blogging and then post something and still get readers. Makes me so happy! Time wise, I've been thinking about stopping replying to all my comments. Would anyone miss them? I can't decide so please weigh in.

3  I'm not sure why I decided AFTER getting a job to finally get Netflix but I did....I need more time, people! Yeah, sure there's lot's of TV series on there that everyone is telling me to watch but there's so many bad movies I HAVE to watch...it's a sickness, I tells ya!

Sorry, this was one boring post. Now you know what my thoughts have been like lately...boring.
Have a great week!

  1. I am normally not in the Christmas spirit until it is over;) I do come to you blog very regularly so I always read when you comment back, but I totally understand not doing it. I have gotten so bad about comments myself:( I LOVE Netflix. It has something for everyone in our house.

    1. I just can't decide about the comments. For now I might have to stop replying.

  2. I'm always excited when I see that you've posted something new -- it doesn't matter how long it's been since the last time :)

I would miss your commenting, but it wouldn't stop me from reading your blog. NOTHING would!

    1. Thank you! I'm just thinking about not replying to my own comments. I'll always comment on other people's blogs.

  3. Nice tree! I feel the same way about Netflix! There are so many things in my instant queue!

  4. That is pretty funny about Netflix. Let me know what you are discovering there.

    1. I've discovered some really cute movies... And some really stupid ones.

  5. From what I know about you after reading your blog, Netflix is bound to be your kryptonite. I just recently cancelled my subscription temporarily because I'll be moving, and I'm already feeling the withdrawal shakes. I can't get enough!

I'm also not feeling very Christmas-y. I mean, I have a tree decorated, and the house has lights, but I'm just not there. Maybe it's because it's been so hot that I can go out in flip flops, or maybe it's because I won't really be seeing my family, but I'm just not feeling Christmas this season. (Maybe it's because I'm an adult and won't be getting as many presents :P)

    1. Yeah, you know me too well. Being a kid at Christmas is definitely more fun than being an adult.

  6. I cannot get in the Christmas spirit either. I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. I think it's because I'm so used to having a white Christmas and we haven't had any snow yet.

    1. We had a white Christmas but it still didn't help.

  7. I think I don't get into the Christmas spirit fully until I'm not going to work anymore :) I need that break to enjoy the happy feelings. We haven't had a netflix account for a while and that is a very good thing for us, since we would spend too much time watching stuff.

    1. Yeah, maybe not having to work would have helped. Ah well.

  8. Pretty tree!

I've been in the Christmas spirit since *October*. Well, it is my favorite holiday, so I guess that's no big surprise. Usually, the part I hate is taking down the pretty lights and decorations. I've been slowly decorating for about a month, now. We are silver, white and red *all over*. Love it.

As to getting around to blogging . . . honestly, I don't know how anyone works and blogs and has a normal life.

    1. I really didn't think the job would have that much of an I impact on my blogging. Silly me. I think it's awesome that you love Christmas so much. I just don't get into the mood BC anymore. Maybe if I had kids.

  9. Nice tree! I've thought about getting Netflex, but I'm afraid I would watch all the things. :)

  10. Hey Jenny! You know, I've also stopped replying to comments on my blog too. Honestly, I am not sure how many folks go back to read them, and I'd rather spend my time reciprocating blog comments. So yeah, that's my take. :)

We also just got a BluRay player that can stream NetFlix. It is a sickness!! My husband and I are obsessed with streaming shows!

    1. Isn't it so addicting? I watch so much of it. I should be spending the time reading or blogging.

  11. I get Netflix. Use it for a month, then don't use it for three, then cancel it, then like two weeks later decide that I want to watch something. I'm fickle.

    1. I thought I'd be fickle but I always manage to find time for a dumb movie at least once a week. It's sad.

  12. I like when you reply, but I understand the lack of time thing so if you need to not do it, I'd be okay with it. :)

And, I love your tree! It's so pretty (and purple). And, I know what you mean about not being in a Christmas-y mood. I've been in one more this year since we actually have a tree, but normally I'm not.

And, I love that you want to watch Netflix for all the bad movies, lol. So funny!

    1. I thought I'd stop replying but here I am replying again. It along with Netflix is a sickness too.

  13. I'd like to try and reply to my discussion posts if I have then again but for book reviews, unless someone asks me a specific question I don't see any harm in not replying. Trust me it frees up a lot of time!

I don't feel Christmasy at all which is terrible because I'm a Christmas person through and through. I have no motivation to even put up my tree :(

  14. I like the replies, but it's the thing I tend to drop when I'm busy too. I would just do whatever will take the pressure off. :)

Hopefully, you'll start to feel a little more Christmas-y this week.

  15. Your tree is so pretty!! Shame about not feeling so festive. I'm feeling much more festive than in previous years which is good. I'm also far too exhausted to blog, so I feel your pain :)

  16. I understand about replying to comments. Sometimes it seems like there are too many to get to. Honestly, it wouldn't bother me if you couldn't reply. I like to read your replies, but I would understand! :)

  17. Your tree is so pretty! I love Christmas with a burning passion, but it's been so warm that it's weird feeling this year.

I do go back and read replies for bloggers that I know reply, but it's not the end of world if there isn't a reply either. I reply but if I'm super busy (like right now) I don't take the time to do it.

    1. Yeah, I'm weird cause I want to be consistent. If I reply I want to always reply. I'm slightly ocd.

  18. I hope you found your Christmas spirit! As for replying to comments...I personally don't subscribe to comments because they go to the email I never check, so I never even know if someone has replied or not. It's so time-consuming, and if there are others like me who don't even know you've replied, you could save yourself the time. Just my two cents! I try to just visit people back and comment on one of their posts and if they asked a question or something, I'll mention it in my comment on their blog. I REALLY want Netflix but I'd have to watch stuff on my computer and I spend way too much on this machine as it is lol.
