The Sunday Salon

And now a bunch of useless information you never wanted to know about me. ;-)

Outside my window: Lovely! After a week of rain and some rain this morning it's quite nice now.

I am listening to: Nothing. Sigh!

I am watching: All the TV show's I watch are over for the season, well, except for House that finishes tomorrow so besides a few summer series I might check out, I'm not watching much of anything.

I am thinking: That it's probably too late in the day to be posting this and no one will read it, but oh well.

I am grateful for: A brief bit of sun. It's supposed to rain again all week.

I am reading: Heist Society by Ally Carter and it's a little slow...well it's not really I'm just having a hard time.

I am photographing: Ahhh! My nephews lying side by side watching Spongebob.

I am listing: Nothing.

I am creating: Quite the selection of sugar free candy. It's pathetic I need to get over my hoarding tendencies. And yeah, I know sugar substitutes are evil.

Around the house: I'm having a small ant problem and it's driving me nuts! Thankfully, my cat sometimes takes a notion to eat them.

From the kitchen: Yay for leftovers!!! I don't have to cook today, just pop in some leftovers.

One of my favorite things: This week I'd have to say nectarines! I'm loving them like crazy.

The children this week: No kids, just my cat Buns. I promised last week I was going to work on getting her outside and, surprise, surprise, I got her to go out twice. OK, it was after dark and only for a few minutes but it's something!

Plans for the week: I've got to get out and DO something fun! And my friend is visiting this weekend! Yay! We have a Zac Efron marathon planned.

Thanks to Ibeeeg of Polishing Mud Balls for the inspiration for this post's layout.

  1. I'm reading! And also listening to...nothing, which is odd because I don't remember turning my music off.

Here's for hoping the weathermen are wrong and there's some sun somewhere in the week. Just a little bit, sun, you can do it.

  3. Kaye, Yes, let us all hope the weathermen can do something about this nasty weather.

AdamsFamily, Yay! It worked. And yeah when you're single and alone life is so..."great".

  5. Cute picture! And I don't care if it rains again all week as long as Sunday is beautiful! A Zac Efron marathon sounds fun.

  6. Dana, Thanks.

Suey, I usually don't mind rain but I can't fully appreciate it unless it's sunny long enough before hand, you know?

  7. Oh, funny, I've done the opposite with my cats. My two deceased kitties were outdoor cats for a time (one opted to make herself indoors-only) and the one who was outdoors a lot kept getting injured, so the new kitties are strictly indoor pets. They do eat bugs. I actually smashed a little spider in the bathtub, last night, and Isabel proceeded to eat it. Blecch!

Yes, yay for leftovers! I just had a bowl of leftover broccoli-cheese soup (cooked by hubby, last night). Yummo. Happy Armchair BEA week, Jenny!

  9. I love leftovers. Too bad my children do not seem to love them as much as I do. sigh. LOL

Nectarines are one my favorite fruits. I cannot wait for them to be in season.

Ant problems are always annoying. Heres to hoping you have that one conquered.

I love reading these type of posts; glad to see you are doing them. Feel free to change it up as you need to fit your life. For instance, delete "The Children this Week" add something else, etc. Have fun.

  10. ibeeeg, I actually like to use "The children this week" to talk about my cat. If I change it to "My Cat this Week" I'll sound like one of those crazy cat ladies. ;)
