Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting On Wednesday, is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine and asks the question, "What are books are you anxiously waiting on?"

(from Goodreads) Not so very long ago, Eragon Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider, was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders.
Long months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can. There will be no second chances.
The Rider and his dragon have come further than anyone dared to hope. But can they topple the evil king and restore justice to Alagaƫsia? And if so, at what cost?
This is the much-anticipated, astonishing conclusion to the worldwide bestselling Inheritance cycle.

 Hardcover, 800 pages
Expected publication: November 8th 2011 by Random House

I'm so excited for this one! I've been waiting forever! Ever since I picked up a copy of Eragon at my nephews house and got sucked in, I've been anxiously waiting for each one to be released and eagerly reading them at breakneck speeds. While I will admit the third was a little slower than the rest, I still love these rich descriptive books! I love Eragon and Saphira's relationship and can't wait to see if they make it through alive. I want to know what will become of Murtagh and Arya and Nasuada, not to mention Elva. I'm SO excited I'll be setting aside all my other books come October and re-reading the first three so I remember all the tiny nuances and details. Yeah, I'll shut up now. I'm just super thrilled  it's finally coming.

  3. Jenni Elyse beat me to it, but I was going to mention that he'll be at the library this year. :) My husband liked the first two in this series but was disappointed with the third. I'll have to wait for your review to let him know if he should pick up the last one.

  4. I remember when Eragon came out, and I was in awe of the fact that it was written by this young boy; just amazing.

I'm sure this one will be just as good!

  5. Jenni Elyse, Ahhhh! No way! I had no idea! I'm sooooo excited now!

Natalie, yep this is the fourth and final in the series. The third one was a little slow, though, but it's worth it.

Kathy, I'm so excited now! I had no idea he was coming! Eeeek! I felt the same about the third so hopefully the fourth will end with a bang.

TheBookGirl, I know, I think that's why I was so intrigued and had to read it and then I was blown away!

  7. I...haven't read any of the books yet. I keep on meaning to and just never get to it. I'll have to see if they sell them in a boxset and find a weekend for them. They sound so fabulous!

  8. O.K. I've been trying to find something good to read for a month now. I think I'll re read the first two and then desperately try to find the third. I knew it was out but I live in such a convenient place that unless I buy it I can't get it very easily. sooooo Thanks!!!

  9. By the way. Horses run when they are scared, and look for something or someone safe. so if they are jumpy you get them running until they start to look at you for security and then you stop them and they should turn and walk to the person working them. That person then talks quietly to them and pets them and lets them know that they are safe with them. Some horses take a while.

  11. Marla, Don't feel bad. Re-reading is hard when there's so many new books to get to.

Kaye, They're so great. Total epic fantasy with great relationships, adventure and a touch of humor.

Cowboy Mom, I can bring the third one when I come next week, I just want it back by October. I would have never guessed on the horse training. That's so cool! To a silly city girl, anyway. ;)

Aylee, I know what you mean, there's so little time and so many books!

Samantha, That's OK, I'm behind in so many series. Don't feel bad. At least if you read them you won't have to wait on pins and needles for the next one to come out.
