Um, the post title says it all. I might as well just type, "blah blah blah," post some silly picture, maybe throw in a hot soccer guy picture and call it good. ;)
See, lately I'm struggling with reading, struggling with blogging, and basically just struggling in general. Sigh! :( But I feel so horrible when I just fade away into depression and don't post. And when I'm not even managing to read I don't even have a book to review.
So here it is. My pathetic post about nothing. Did you enjoy it?
How about now?
Dude... I know EXACTLY what you mean. I've barely been reading lately!
ReplyDeleteAt least you have an excuse. I'm just lazy! :(
DeleteI've been there and you'll pull through it! I know you will. We expect way too much from ourselves. Even this post is a show of your commitment to this blog. And yes, the soccer players helped :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I really have been trying to find some motivation and wanted to post something...hot soccer guys seemed appropriate. ;)
DeleteI think that will be the last half of October for me. Oh well... You will make it through and thanks for sharing the picture! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'll be back in the mood before long. In the meantime I'll just admire these guys. ;)
DeleteI know how you feel. I'm feeling kind of the same way. I feel like a lot of my posts are just to keep my blog going at the moment. I wish I could just get passionate about things again. Or, maybe, it's that I have too much going on and it's hard to be passionate about one fully. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteIt really is hard to be passionate about just one thing. And I've definitely been busy! Glad I'm not the only one who's struggling right now.
DeleteI've been so busy that when I come home at night I don't even have the energy to read; I just need some mind numbing tv or something. So I know how you feel about really having nothing to post.
ReplyDeleteThe picture was a nice way to start out my day though!!
That's exactly my problem too! Stupid busy life! I'm glad I could brighten your day. ;)
DeleteMy problem isn't the reading but the reviewing. If I fall behind (which is almost always) then it's hard to catch up. But I am always happy to see pics of hot boys who play soccer, so I'll be here for when you are ready to post some reviews too!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks. I usually have just a hard time blogging but reading is even becoming hard. Sigh. I'll get over it.
DeleteI do blog for the sake of blogging, but I have a giant back-log of reviews to pop up when I need to. Keep going, you'll get back into the swing of things!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had some back up posts. As it is, you'll just have to look at hot soccer guys. ;)
DeleteLook at that -- you can blog about nothing and it's STILL entertaining :) Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteLOL! It's not me, it's the hot guys. ;)
DeleteA post about nothing is better than nothing, period! Plus eye candy is always nice on a Friday...or any day for that matter. I hate reading and blogging slumps, they make you feel so crappy. Have you considered doing book recommendation posts? That way you can talk about books you've already read without having to force yourself to read something new if you're just not feeling it...just a thought!
ReplyDeleteI like this idea. Thanks! There's lots of book I read before the blog that deserve to be highlighted.
DeleteAny blog post that features hot guys with washboard stomachs is a good one!
ReplyDeleteAmen!
DeleteHot guys are ALWAYS ok. ALWAYS.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're struggling right now, but I know you'll make it through, even if it takes a bit of time. :)
I'll be fine. As long as hot guys like this exist in the world. ;)
DeleteIt's totally understandable that you don't always feel like reading, reviewing and blogging. You can get so bogged down by it all. I know I have to really streamline my reading, so my reviews are sparse at best. I mostly blog on my writer blog these days because I have little passion for my book blog anymore.
ReplyDeleteIt happens! *shrug*
I really ought to check out your other blog. Sigh! I haven't been a very good friend, have I?
DeleteUgh, I know what you mean. I've been thinking about doing a post like this as well. I just finished a book for the first time in about 3 weeks (which for me is a very long time).
ReplyDeleteLove the picture though! Just for funzies, here is another shirtless picture ;)
Finnick tryout picture
Phew! I'm glad I'm not the only one who's taking a ridiculously long time to finish a book.
DeleteWowzza! Thanks for the picture. Puts a smile on my face!
Ha ha! Even when you post about nothing it's funny. I wouldn't mind you posting hot soccer guys until you get your groove back :)
ReplyDeleteOh, don't tempt me. I never tire of looking at hot pictures and choosing one.
DeleteShirtless football players are always good posts :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't done much lately either. I still have some books to review so I should start doing that and I have a book that I have to return to the library soon and I still haven't started it.
It's always comforting to know I'm not the only one who's in a slump. Not that I'm happy you're struggling too. ;)
DeleteLove that you call it football. You get it!
It's called football where I live and it's the biggest sport here :)
DeleteYeah, I know. I didn't even bat an eye when you called it football. If I call it football, though, all my american readers will think american football and THAT would be a travesty! ;)
DeleteI always enjoy pictures of hot guys ahaha! I'm totally going through the same kind of thing right now though! I just started a new job so when I get home from work I'm too tired to blog and don't really feel like spending even more time in front of a computer screen. It happens to all of us from time to time.
ReplyDeleteYeah, exactly! Having a job that involves sitting at a computer all day does not encourage me to go home and sit in front of one at night.
DeleteStory time: I always keep my browser really small when I read things, so for some reason I totally wasn't expecting that picture. I scrolled down and just started laughing.
ReplyDeleteI think there's a lot of slump going on in blogging land. I realized I only reviewed one book in September. Oh well... :)
LOL! I'm glad it worked the way it did. :) Yeah, blogging slumps come and go. I hope mine goes away soon.
DeleteI think all of us readers and bloggers go through phases of burnout. Sometimes you just need to take a step back and try something else that use to make you happy and get a little break from constantly thinking. For me that is crafts and if my mind is really needing a break I always pull out the coloring books, crayons and disney movies! Hope things get better soon <3
ReplyDeleteI need to figure something out because this forcing myself to blog is hard!
DeleteLove it! An occasional blogging break can be good for the soul. :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wish I didn't feel so weirdly guilty about it, though.
