***Warning! This is the shortest review I've ever written. Probably just a mood thing but there really isn't much to say about the book either.****

What it has going for it
I needed a light, fluffy, brain candy book in my current mood and this one fit the bill. That's not to say there is no depth in this book, because there is. I thought the almost screenplay style of writing was interesting. I don't think I've ever read a book in that style and I was sure it was going to bug me at first but I didn't even notice it after awhile. Hmmm, I really don't know what else to say. It wasn't mind blowingly wonderful but it was sweet and romantic and just what I needed right now. What more can I ask?

What's lacking
Really can't think of anything. It's not very memorable, I guess.

Favorite moment
I love books that take place in London. I love the description of the city. It brings back happy memories.

Yea or Nay?
If you need something light and sweet with a hint of depth, than yes.

  1. I've been looking forward to reading this one someday. I like books that travel to places I've never been. It's too bad it didn't stand out as much for you though!

    1. It was fine, just not going to be very memorable.

  2. Why are you in a mood? Do you need a pedi a tat and a chai? Jam-berry has spiderwebs and spooky green with witches hats and brooms...or movie tickets!

  3. I'm keeping this one for a day when I need to just lighten my mood. It kinda reminds me of the movie Love Actually for some reason.

    1. Yeah, it's great for a mood lightner. It's noting like Love Actually but I can see how it might look that way.

  5. I agree that it was a light and fun read. One of those perfect reads when you don't want to think too much and you just want to escape reality.

  6. Every time I see this book I kick myself for not having read it yet, because some days I really do need something light and romantic.

  7. Nice short and sweet review. I never want to just read a book that's light on everything. It's not my style. I need a book that will really trounce me, or it's nothing.

  8. I love this book!!!! I thought it was super cute and yet it can be very emotional. It got me to cry, though that doesn't take much.

    1. Yeah, I'm not sure it made me cry but it was emotional too.

  10. I agree, sometimes you just need a light, fluffy read. For me, it's usually a zombie book, although I am not sure what that says about me. :) Glad this one was a good fit at the right time!

    1. LOL! I'm sure you're not the only one who thinks zombie books are light and fluffy. ;)

  11. I do love brain candy books. They can really hit the spot, without requiring too much in return.

  12. I loved this one and I miss London, too. :)

  13. I liked the cute fluffy romance in this one. I kinda wish they would have just focused on the two of them, though. I got a little bored with the whole dad's wedding/step mom business.

    1. Yeah, there was a bit too much of that, wasn't there.

  14. Light, fluffy, brain candy books are sometimes needed. The title is different from anything I expected with that cover.

  15. Despite the fact that this was a short review I think you described the book perfectly! I remember feeling the exact same way when I read it! I also loved that it took place in London and the fact that the author focused so much on Dickens in the book (it actually motivated me to finally read one of Dickens books!)

    1. I like books that talk about books...however, I'm not a Dickens fan. :( Sigh!
