Top Ten Tuesday

I haven't done a Top Ten Tuesday post for ever! It's been so long that I haven't participated since Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl took over as host. Head on over to her blog and link up if you want to participate.

This week's topic: Book I could re-read forever.
(I'm going to cheat a little and count series as one book)

Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
I read this one for the first time last year and am already itching for a re-read.

The Matthew Swift series by Kate Griffin.
If you're new to my blog you probably haven't heard me gush about his series. If you've been around for awhile you have...and yet, you haven't read this perfect series yet. What's taking you so long?! ;)

The Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz
I love this series so much that I haven't read the last two book in the series because I can't bear to say goodbye to Odd.

Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher
This book was so perfect. Romantic, funny and oh so sad.

The Schwa Was Here by Neal Shusterman
This book and the following book in the series are pure brilliance. You'll laugh you'll cry and definitely want to re-read them. I know I want to.

The Hollow City by Dan Wells
Dan Wells writes the strangest and most awesome stories ever! This one is by far his best...that I've read so far anyway. It was so strange and wonderful I need to read it again.

The Ruby Oliver series by E. Lockhart
Everyone of the books in this series makes me laugh so hard. Like tears rolling down my cheeks laughing. I need to re-read them and have another good laugh!

The Curse Workers series by Holly Black
This series isn't perfect but I loved everything about it. The world the characters, all of it! I need a re-read.

The Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt
This books is delightful. I've already read it twice and think it might already be time for another re-read.

Persuasion by Jane Austen
My favorite Austen. I could re-read that letter from Captain Wentworth a thousand times. Sigh!!!!

I don't know about you but I sure feel like re-reading now. Maybe THAT'S what will get me out of this reading slump!

  1. I KNEW Matthew Swift and Odd Thomas would be on this list. I should've guessed Ketchup Clouds and Attachments would be. I had no clue about the others, though.

  2. Sometimes rereading a favorite book is exactly what you need when you can't seem to read anything else. :)

  3. Attachments is one I still need to read. After Fangirl I decided I was going to read more of her stuff, but I still haven't. And Holly Black I need to try.

  4. I love THE HOLLOW CITY. I should probably re-read it -- I'm sure there's tons of stuff in it that I didn't notice the first time around. I will probably have to re-read ODD THOMAS again before I move on in the series. I enjoyed it, just never went on to the next book and now I can't remember what the first one was about (except the ending). Gah!

  5. I'm sorry to hear you're in a reading slump. I hope you're able to get past the slump soon.
Re-reading my favorites from childhood always gets me out of a reading slump. My favorite are the Little House books, the Anne of Green Gables books, all of Jane Austen's novels and Little Women!

  6. I loved Attachments. I'm hoping Rainbow Rowell will write more books like that.

  7. I agree with Persuasion. I could re-read it many times, too! Though, I don't think it's my favorite, but second fave, maybe, of Austen's.

    1. Right? I almost added it but decided not too. Most people know it's my favorite book and hopefully assume I reread it all the time.

    1. Really? Huh. Yeah. I should have put it on the list. I just assume it's a given that I reread it all the time.
