A Little Help Please

K, guys I need your help. Melissa, Cait, I believe both of you, and it seems like one more person I can't remember, recommended The Demon's Lexicon to me. I'm reading it now and in desperation for inspiration to post I thought it would be fun if you'd let me know exactly what you thought I'd like, or hate in this book/series and I'll use your comments in my review. That's not pushy of me, right? ;) Don't worry, I'm not hating the book so you won't get yelled at. I just thought it would be fun to do a review a little differently.

For those of you that have read this series you could take a gander too at what you think I'd like and hate about it? And for those of you who haven't read it well, you could guess too if you wanted. Here's what the books about.

Sixteen-year-old Nick and his brother, Alan, are always ready to run. Their father is dead, and their mother is crazy—she screams if Nick gets near her. She’s no help in protecting any of them from the deadly magicians who use demons to work their magic. The magicians want a charm that Nick’s mother stole—and they want it badly enough to kill. Alan is Nick’s partner in demon slaying and the only person he trusts in the world. So things get very scary and very complicated when Nick begins to suspect that everything Alan has told him about their father, their mother, their past, and what they are doing is a complete lie. . From Goodreads

Yeah, OK, I'm desperately bored with my blog lately so I'm looking for something fun to shake things up. I hope you'll help me. Happy reading!

  1. This is what I liked, that I hope you will like too: Nick and Alan's complicated relationship, all the violent talk that makes me go giggly in a good way. Love those brothers.

  2. Pretty much, I think you'll like Nick and Alan. They are guys and they are realistic and I think they might just remind you a little bit of Cassel. I hope that's what you'll like (though, it's been quite some time since I read this one, so I might be way off base...) Oh, and I think you'll like the demon thing. The whole world of demon fighting and such. Vague enough? As far as hating...not sure. Maybe the girls? :)

  6. This is one I tried about a year or so ago, and didn't get it. I read maybe 100 pages and decided I wasn't in the mood and needed to save it for later.
