February Wrapup 2013

Well, February seemed to drag and you'd think I would have managed to read more but, no. Sigh!
Here's the two measly books I manged to read.

The Scarlet Pimpernel
Marguerite, you useless character, you! Ruined the book for me!

Last Regress
Potential but alas, it couldn't quite get there.

And that's it. *rolls eyes* I usually give a favorite and least favorite but as neither of these books really impressed me I'll just leave it be.

  1. Wow-February was a bad reading month for you-hopefully March will pick up both in quantity and quality.

  4. "Marguerite, you useless character, you!" *giggles*
For such a short month, February sure seemed LONG. I actually managed to get a lot read...it was the one good thing that came out of having a back injury and being laid up so much. Hopefully March is a better book month for you!

    1. I do not want a back injury or even a cold but sometimes having forced time of is kinda nice.

  6. Sounds like a lull. This happens to me when I get a few bad/mediocre books in a row. You need something to wow you back into it.Frustrating to wait for it, though.

  7. I'm sorry February sucked so bad for you. I only got to two books in February too since I was fighting reading what I had lined up by deadline. Hopefully, March will be better for you.

  8. Isn't it funny how each month feels so long but a whole year flies by so quickly! I didn't get much of anything done is feb either except to complain about writing. I really hope the next few books we both read are better.

  9. That stinks! But hopefully you'll be able to read more (and better) books next month. :)

  10. It's always disappointing when you only get to a couple books in a month and neither of them was great. Spring Break just started and I'm excited because it means I get to READ!!!!

    1. Have fun! I hate not having time to read but it makes the time you do get very precious!

    1. I already am on my way to a better reading month. Phew! My favorite book of all time is Mary Shelly's Frankenstein followed very closely by the Matthew Swift books and anything by Markus Zusak. See? I do like books. ;)

  12. I've never read the Scarlet Pimpernel and don't think I ever will. It just never really "spoke" to me.

Sorry to hear the month dragged for you. Not to sound mean or anything, but I'm sorta glad that I'm not the only one who had a rough February reading-wise. Here's to a great March for us both! :)

    1. Not rude at all. It's comforting to know you're not alone. March is already going better for me. I hope it goes better for you too.

Well, February is a short month--so you have an excuse for not fitting more books in. ;-)

  15. I'm sorry you didn't like either of these books. I had the opposite problem; I loved everything I read in February. It's funny how it sometimes goes in patterns like that.

  16. February is very short, so there's that. :) I'm sorry you didn't like your reads more, though. When I have very little time, I want to at least read something extremely good.
I hope you'll have better luck with your next read, Jenny!

  17. I'm sorry you had such a bummer of a February! I hope March is fantastic for you!

  18. Some months are like that. I only read 6 books in February, unless you count the two children's books I decided to go ahead and toss onto my March list to give it a head start. Hope you find some books you love, this month. I agree with Ryan. Sometimes you just need something that will startle you back into the joy of reading.

  19. That's the way it is, I guess. Is that way with me too. Some months I might only read one or two books, while other months I read a whole bunch of book.
