Mini Movie Reviews # 4

warm_bodiesWarm Bodies. It may have been my freakishly low expectations, but this little movie blew me away. Laugh if you will, but I really liked it. Nicholas Hoult made the whole move, his comedic timing and good looks (even zombified) were awesome!  I also was surprised to see it had a sweet little message to it.

Jack The Giant Slayer. Yep, another Nicholas Holt movie. But I suggest seeing it for Ewan McGregor's  hotness.  This one was just plain entertaining. It wasn't anything special or mind blowing but if you want to be entertained go see it.

Life of Pi. I enjoyed actually getting to see this one after reading the book and seeing the characters and incredible story come to life. It was absolutely beautiful...but...I preferred the book. *shrugs* It happens.

  1. I almost always prefer the book too. I loved Life of Pi, but part of the reason I loved it was the ending and being unsure what really happened. Do they do a good job with that in the movie?

    1. Yeah, they did a very good job of it. At least I though so.

  2. I love Nicolas Hoult! I fell for him in Skins and now I just can't get enough. I'm not interested in seeing Warm Bodies because I am not a fan of Isaac Marion and his derogatory comments about YA and YA authors. But I do have plans to see Jack the Giant Slayer - it's one of the lesser remade fairy tales and it looks really exciting. Of course, there's Ewan McGregor to look forward to even if the movie is a flop.

  3. I loved Jake the Giant Slayer! Ewen McGregor was super sexy, you're right. His hair totally cracked me up.

I really want to see Warm Bodies, but it's already left theaters where I live!

  4. I've been anxious to see both Warm Bodies and Jack. I'll wait for the DVD on Warm Bodies now, but I think Jack need to be big screen. LOVED Life of Pi, but you probably knew that already. :)

  6. I'm interested in seeing Warm Bodies because I love seeing how hot Hoult got but I'm just not motivated to make myself go to a theater. I can wait for the DVD but I will definitely be checking it out!

  9. I keep hearing great things about Warm Bodies! It sounds better than I expected it to be. And Jack the Giant Slayer looks promising too - just wish I had to time to go out and watch all these films!

  11. The books are normally so much better than the movies. Thank you for giving a small review of these two movies because I have been really debating watching both of these movies.

  12. I loved Warm Bodies, too! I also loved the book.

Jack the Giant Slayer was just okay for me; I wasn't blown away. Ewan McGregor's character was probably the highlight for me in that one.

Haven't seen Life of Pi yet, or read the book. I kind of want to read the book first... but I've got so much in my TBR pile already!
