Blog Change Input Needed

Well, as it's bloggiesta weekend, I've made a few changes and am working on more. That's where you come in. I have some questions and I'd REALLY love your input.

1 Do you care that I changed my layout?

2 How often do you click on a link within. Those little, you might like this, buttons at the bottom of each post? I'm considering getting rid of them.

3 And last but not least, are my review posts as boring as I think they are? I've been trying to be more professional by saying what I like and dislike but they seem so boring. What do you think?

4 So, since I changed my layout Google Chrome won't let me comment. I can on Firefox, though. Anyone know what the heck happened?

Thanks for your help, guys! Have a great weekend! OLE!

  1. 1. I usually read your blog in Google Reader so I don't remember what the old layout was, but this one looks good!

    2. I don't usually click on them.

    3. I like your reviews! I especially like that they are split between what you liked and didn't like. I also like that you are blunt about what you don't like.

    4. I am Google Chrome, so if this comment actually comes through then it is working. If not... we will never know...

    1. Thanks for the input. For some reason blogger put you're comment in spam. Stupid blogger!

  2. The layout looks good. :) I don't usually click on the links at the bottom, sometimes I do if I spot something I don't think I've read. I think your reviews are done very well. You're straight to the point, which is what I need to do instead of going off for so long. Long posts/reviews don't keep the attention of the people. I don't know much about Google Chrome vs. Firefox. I use Firefox, my brother likes Google Chrome better. I think I had issues with Google Chrome and my blog before... Not sure what to do or why though.

    1. Yeah, it's very annoying, I think it may be working now.

  3. I like the layout. I don't ever click on the link within on blogs that I follow. If I'm at a new blog I only click if it really really interests me, but most times I don't pay much attention to it.

I don't find your reviews boring, I like the like/dislike, but if you aren't happy doing it that way then you should do it how you like, cause it's your blog! :)

    1. I just can't decide whether I should get rid of link within or not. ;(

  4. I like the new layout!! It's cool. I like your reviews, I like the subheadings...but I'd say maybe they're sometimes a bit short? Also as I mainly read YA I tend not to read adult reviews at all....but that doesn't mean you should stop posting them. I only click on the links at the bottom if I see something that really interests me. No clue on the FF/Chrome issue...I use FF anyway.

    1. LOL! I love that my reviews are short because they're quick to read but I probably should expound better. Thanks for you're input.

  5. Your layout is very crisp and clean looking! I'd like a more little color, but that's just me. Ultimately, it comes down to what you like!

Can't say I've ever clicked on the You Might Like buttons on any blog. I had them on my posts for awhile because it seemed like everyone had them, but finally got rid of them coz I just didn't like how they looked.

Your reviews are not boring! It's good to say what you do and don't like about a book, but add whatever you like to the reviews because after all, they are your opinion!

    1. Yeah, I'm afraid I'm very fond of black and white and probably won't add a ton of color. Thanks for your opinion.

  6. I like the new layout! It's cute! And I never think your postings or reviews are boring! I keep coming back for more! I don't think I've ever used the link within option though. I've been meaning to ask you though! How did you get the reply option set to come up under every individual comment? I've been trying to figure it out and I can't!

    1. If you choose the embedded option on your comments in blogger it will automatically do it for you.

    2. Thanks Jenny! I'll give it a try!

  7. Sometimes I use the link within option on blogs, but not often.

I think your reviews are just fine. If you want to change them then go for it, but I do not think you really need to. I do like how you mention what you found positive and what was negative to you.

I need to learn how to put tabs at the top of my blog. Then again, maybe I don't because that then also means I would have figure out how to categorize my posts.

    1. Yeah, and I'm not sure anyone even uses my tabs. Oh well. Thanks for opining.

  9. 1. Your new layout is better! So, I do care, and think of it as an improvement.

    2. I don't click on your linked within's, but some people might. They don't hurt anything by just being there.

    3. Your reviews are short and to-the-point, so, not boring. I think breaking it down to what you liked and didn't like is a great way to review books, especially on a blog.

  10. 1. I love your new layout! It's fantastic! And, I love the fonts you chose. So, yes, I care, but in a good way. :)

2 I don't ever click on them. But, that's because I read all your posts anyway, so I've already seen them. :)

3 I don't think your review posts are boring at all. I like the way you review books. I don't always comment on them because I just don't comment on reviews unless something really strikes, I've read it, or I really want to read it.

    I hope I've helped!

    1. You've helped. I like the fonts too. Do you think it's too hard to read??? I can't decide.

  11. Your blog is awesome the way it is! It's actually very pretty without going over the edge to having too much stuff on a page. Also, your reviews are the best. They're honest and to the point and not exceedingly long like some reviews so my interest is always there. I'm a bit of a stalker so I will usually click on the links if I'm already on a blog. But I think I've read most of your posts by now!

  12. I have so much to learn about blogging still! I hardly put any work into the set up of it- but I like the way yours looks. And, I think you helped me with one of my problems of not being able to reply to comments left on my blog- so thanks :) I sometimes click on the little boxes on the bottom, but only on the few recipes blogs I follow, not on any other ones.

  13. Hi!
    1. I like the new look. :)
    2. I don't usually click on the "You might also like" links, but I think that is mostly a result of the fact that I've already read them all.
    3. I like your reviews. I think the two categories on what worked and what didn't are very helpful to me at least.
    4. I'm commenting in Chrome right now, so you must have fixed it.
