Book Bloggers I Miss

While cleaning up my side bar the other day I was noticing all the bloggers who aren't posting anymore. Sometimes there's a reason but sometimes bloggers just stop blogging and I get it, I really do. It's been a major struggle to keep up with this blogging world now that I'm working full time. All the same, I miss these bloggers and just thought I'd give them all a shout out...though, they probably don't even follow blogs anymore and probably won't see this. :(  I'll never take them off my sidebar, though, because one day they might start blogging again and I want to be there when it happens. (cause, yes, I'm a weirdo who reads blogs from my sidebar, not Google Reader.)

Tristan from Reads With Wreckless Abandon
I think Tristan's blog is absolutely beautiful and I could never visit it without adding a few books to the TBR pile.

Selina from Fragments Of Fiction
I still sometimes click on over to Selina's blog just to look at her design. I LOVE it! At least she's still around on Goodreads but I still miss her blog.

Bekka from Pretty Deadly Reviews
I'm so sad all the blogging drama that happens got to Bekka. I loved her posts. Her raving reviews of books she didn't like made me happy! I wasn't the only one who yells at books. :) Miss you, Bekka.

B.J from The Dark Side of the Covers
I can't even link to her site because it's gone but I miss B.J. Maybe she's out there still blogging under a different name and I just missed it.

Sheesh! That turned out to be a bit sad. I wasn't trying to me so morose just thought I'd say I missed their posts cause I do.  Anyone else out there who misses blogging buddies who don't blog anymore?

  4. It's funny how you can miss someone you haven't even met, but it happens. I feel the same way when I clean up my Google reader and see that I blog I love has gone silent.

    1. It's very depressing. I can't help but wonder if I'll drop off the grid one day.

  5. It's so sad when your favorite bloggers stop blogging. There are a few bloggers that I miss too that no longer blog. And, I think of them every once in a while and wonder what's happened and why they've stopped blogging.

    1. Yeah, sometimes they announce why they're quitting and sometimes they just stop with no explanation and I wonder what happened.

  6. I know how you feel. There are some bloggers I've seen leave and it makes me sad too. It's so strange when they're just gone and you're so used to seeing them around.

  9. I read the blogs from my side bar too! It's the easiest way to see what all my favorite blogs are saying without having to search for them.

A few of my favorite blogs have stopped blogging. It's always sad but like you said, life can get in the way.

    1. Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one who reads from my sidebar. It's so sad when bloggers stop blogging but when a favorite stops it's even worse!

  12. Aaaw I totally miss some bloggers too! Like Mimi from Mimi Valentine... her posts always brightened up my day and whenever I visited her blog I ALWAYS ended up adding a few more books to my TBR list. Lovely post, Jenni. Great way to let all the bloggers who you're missing know that they're loved and being deeply missed. <3

  13. What a nice tribute! It's always sad when a blog you enjoy stops posting without explanation. I keep some of them in my reader, in the hope that they'll come back one day!

  15. It always makes me sad when people leave blogging, but I understand it. It takes a lot of work and sometimes life or other things get in the way. It's nice to remember those who have left us.

    1. Yes, blogging is hard work sometimes and I don't blame anyone for giving up. I just miss them.

  16. Whether they write a goodbye post or not it's always sad to see a blogger go. Especially ones I really like, but I get it too. Blogging is a ton of work (much more than I expected) and pressure (mostly internal on my part anyway) and I can see how people can get all caught up in what's happening and then it stops being fun. I sometimes delete blogs that haven't posted in forever, but I've kept a few because if they start blogging again I definitely want to know it.

    1. Yeah, I get the pressure is hard. It's too bad when it's not fun for them anymore cause then we miss them.

  17. What a wonderful post! I was thinking of several of my old blogging friends who no longer blog. Some made a point of saying goodbye while others silently disappeared. It makes me sad to think about. I hope they are doing well and happy in life.

  18. All the blogs I usually read are still updated, but sometimes I find one through google that I like and then see that there haven't been any new posts in over a year.

I'm glad that while I can't write several posts every week, I have enough time to write one (although I've been a bit slow with writing reviews this summer).

    1. You're lucky. I've had way too many good bloggers quit on me.

  19. I know it is sooo sad when bloggers you love stop blogging! I totally understand when they find that their lives are too busy to continue, but lately it seems like most of my favourite bloggers have quit because of all the drama surrounding GR bullies and angry authors attacking them. These people making such blatant attacks should realize that everyone is welcome to their own opinions! After all....thats what blogging is all about! Sharing your opinions!

    1. I know! I hate all the drama. People should be allowed to say what ever they want (even if it's hurtful) without being bullied.

  20. It's a shame when real life gets so busy/hard that blogging takes too much effort. There are some people who I really miss. It's funny how much of a connection we can forge with people we haven't even met. I miss BJ as well but I've spoken to her on Goodreads and I think she is just really busy with her kids and her work. I know how that feels. At least she hasn't disappeared altogether. That's really freaks me out.

    1. Yeah, it is funny how close we feel to all our blogging buddies and how much we miss them when they disappear. I hope you're OK, btw, and don't leave us for good. :)
