Review: Georgia Nicolson 3&4

Title Knocked Out By My Nunga-Nungas (Georgia Nicolson #3)
By Louise Rennison
Genre YA contemporary
Pages 183

First sentence Dreamt of Robbie feeding me chocolate sandwiches.

Synopsis
Georgia is back. Now the official girlfriend of a sex god, Georgia has it all. Too bad Dave the Laugh is suddenly looking so interesting.

What it has going for it
These books were just what I needed. I was having a major reading slump and Georgia and her silly antics were perfect to pull me out of it. This one had me highly amused because of what happened with Dave the Laugh but I won't say more, lest I spoil it.

What's lacking
I can see how some people might find this series TOO light and fluffy and, yes, even ridiculous. I also noticed that Georgia can seem quite selfish at times and that might be a turn off. I, however, enjoy them.

Title Dancing in my Nuddy Pants (Georgia Nicolson #4)
By Louise Rennison
Genre YA contemporary
Pages 214

First sentence
I've never seen a sparrow be quite literally washed of its perch on a tree.

Synopsis
With Robbie the Sex God gone on tour all the time Georgia is having a hard time keeping her eyes off of Dave the Laugh.

What is has going for it
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Georgia and her antics again. Angus was in full form and Dave the Laugh is getting quite dreamy. I just don't think poor Georgia can't be herself around Robbie. Either way, I'm happy to continue with her in her journey to find out which boy to choose.

What's lacking
Not much really, just substance. These books are really just for a laugh. Don't go looking for some deeper meaning.

Yea or Nay
Despite how racy the sound, I assure you, they're pretty clean and highly amusing. I would recommend them.

  1. I really want to read these. They're on my ever growing TBR list. Someday.

  2. I've wondered if these were worth reading. They sound funny and light, just what I need sometimes to balance out darker reads. I'll have to pick them up when I'm in the mood for something frothy.

  3. These sound so super cute! I'll keep them in mind for when I want to read something light and fun instead of my usual YA dystopians!
