TV Talk Sundays #4

Alright, this is a little late but I've been off my game lately. I'm happy the Olympics are finally over and we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming. I was starting to have withdrawals!

Back To Our Regularly Scheduled Programming
(on TV now)

Jane The Virgin
I felt sort of "meh" about this weeks episode. I feel like they've lost momentum. Hopefully things pick up soon.

9-1-1
This week's episode tackled the full moon and all the crazies that come out. I laughed at the prenatal yoga class when three women went into labor. As usual this show makes me roll my eyes but it's still fun to watch.

The Good Doctor
And they introduced a new doctor. I actually liked this guy. He's older and I can see him butting heads with the other doctors but that's got to be a good thing, right?

The Resident
This show is starting to piss me off. It shows the greed of hospital CEOs so well that it's making me sick. Our health care system is so messed up and whoever you want to blame, that's fine but the real villain is greed. It's all about the money. Ugh! I don't know if I can even keep watching.

Netflix

The Crown
Still slowly making my way through season two. I love looking up each episode after I watch and seeing what was accurate and what's not. It's usually pretty close to truth. Anyone else watch the episode with Charles going to that school and wanting to choke him out? Sorry, I know he's the future king of England but he's such a little pansy.

Amazon Prime

Victoria
I've started watching Victoria on Prime and while it's not as accurate as The Crown I still enjoy it. It's entertaining and fun to watch. Anyone else seen it? You should check it out. The guy who plays Albert is very, very dreamy!

  1. I'm glad the Olympics are over too, even though I enjoy them. Well I enjoy them until NBC wears me down lol. I haven't seen any of these although I've heard the Crown is awesome.

    1. I've heard people talking about NBC and the Olympics. I didn't know about anything though. Sorry their coverage was stupid.

  2. The Olympics is my jam, but NBC's coverage is NOT. I might stop watching them altogether if they keep up the crap coverage and ignore all the amazing American athletes who don't uphold their political agenda.

Now, Victoria is one of my favorite shows! I just finished watching Season 2, and while I liked Season 1 better, Season 2 was good, also. Albert was a way better character in Season 2. I don't know why, but he was. My guy is Ernst. I'm all about he and Harriett's super unfulfilled romance.

The real Ernst has to marry some other woman whom he never loves. Actually, the real Ernst was quite an A-hole and homely, so this Ernst is a very much improved version of the real one. David Oakes... gah! There is scarce a better-looking man on this Earth!

    1. I'm still in the middle of season 1 and have only just been introduced to Ernst's and Harriett's romance. I like Albert's looks better than Ernst but I'm not opposed to him either and he's such a sweetheart in the show. I'm glad someone else is watching and loving it too!

  3. My husband watched the "Dear Mrs. Kennedy" episode last night and said it was amazing. I really need to watch The Crown, but truthfully, I'd rather read!

    1. That episode was indeed awesome! Lately watching TV is all I'm doing. Stupid reading slump!

  4. Both The Crown and Victoria are on my list and I'm so excited to start them! Once I finish my rewatch of Pretty Little Liars (I'm on the last season I believe) and Grey's Anatomy (I have 3 seasons left I think), I'll be able to start both of them! I've heard such great things and I have a soft spot for royalty and England :)

  5. Ha! about Prince Charles. He is a pansy, but knowing me, I would've been/done the exact same way/thing so I can't be too harsh.

  6. I also enjoy 911, even though it's totally ridiculous, but whatever. I like to be entertained!

  7. I put the Crown on my must watch this year, even though I almost never watch TV, it looks so awesome and I like to hear that it is mostly accurate.
