New Year, New Review Format

I've been struggling with my book review format for a while now. I'm bored with it. I get bored easily. Sigh! Any way, I figured with it being a new year and all, I'd change my format. But to what? I couldn't decide. Sometimes I just have random thoughts about books and no over arching feeling. I love the way Kami and Kimberly do their reviews. They both just sort of bullet point some thoughts they had while reading the book.  I thought I'd steal their format, change it up a bit and try it out for the year. You'll have to tell me what you think. Have a Happy New Year!  

Bloggiesta To Do List

So, today isn't going to be a productive day for me with Bloggiesta but I'll have more time on Saturday and Sunday...hopefully.  My tiny little plans are...

1 Clean up my labels. I actually put labels on all my posts LAST time for the very first time but I have way too many, I need to clean, clean, clean!  Done! Oh my heck, blogger! Find an easier way to delete labels!
2 Go through my Goodreads TBR list and delete books I no longer think I'll be reading. There's over 600 books on it! Done! Now there's 580 something. Not a huge improvement, but still.

3 I want to learn more about this Google Reader's Next button. :)
Done! Now let's see if I actually use it.

4 Write a Review policy. Done. It looks like crap and is ridiculously unprofessional but oh well.

5 Figure out what Widget may or may not be causing my comment issues. Huzzah! I think my background was causing the commenting problem. Let me know if you're still having trouble commenting...on Twitter if the comment isn't working. ;)

6 And check out all the amazing mini challenges and see about maybe learning a thing or two.


Yeah, not very lofty goals, I  know, but I have so little time! :(

Bloggiesta

Fine! I'll sign up! :) I have been the laziest person ever since starting a job and procrastinating up a storm but I figure laziness isn't an excuse for sitting on my butt in front of a computer and trying to spiff up the blog, you know?

Ramble Much?

My little brain is all over the place lately and I'm afraid my blogging slump is still going on and on. :( Anywho, I thought I'd just ramble for a bit.

First off, "my boys" played Barcelona, their biggest rivals, on Saturday and won!!! My throat was actually sore from all the screaming that happened. And, yeah, everyone thought Ronaldo was man of the match but my vote goes to Arbeloa, yes, the vampire. ;)

They're playing an important game today as well against a dang German team. Don't even get me started on my hate for German soccer teams. You'll get plenty of that this summer during the Euro Cup. ;)


                                                                                                                                                                                                Secondly, I'm pondering some post ideas and changes and wondering if anyone actually reads or cares about my Sunday Salon posts? I don't mind writing them up but I feel like for you, the reader, they're horribly boring and I'm thinking about dumping them all together. Anyone care?


Thirdly, I'm about two inches from going to the book store and spending a ridiculous amount of money on books I want! I'm trying to be better at budgeting my money since I don't have a job at the moment and am starting to feel like I'll NEVER get one. :( Anywho, I could use some sage advice about now or I'm going to  lose it!

And forthly, awhile ago I whined about blogs I read and comment on all the time but who never return the favor. And it  occurs to me I may be inadvertently doing this myself. do any of you lovely bloggers visit me all the time and never hear a peep from me on your blog? I'd feel awful if this is so. Let me know and I'll rectify the situation. We're all friends here. :)

Blog Change Input Needed

Well, as it's bloggiesta weekend, I've made a few changes and am working on more. That's where you come in. I have some questions and I'd REALLY love your input. 

1 Do you care that I changed my layout?

2 How often do you click on a link within. Those little, you might like this, buttons at the bottom of each post? I'm considering getting rid of them. 

3 And last but not least, are my review posts as boring as I think they are? I've been trying to be more professional by saying what I like and dislike but they seem so boring. What do you think? 

4 So, since I changed my layout Google Chrome won't let me comment. I can on Firefox, though. Anyone know what the heck happened?

Bloggiesta, I Guess!

Alright, alright! I'm going to sign up for this fun event hosted by Suey and Danielle. I've hesitated because I wasn't sure I'd really be able to donate any time to it this weekend, however, there are things I've been wanting to do around my blog to spiff it up so eventually here's what I'd like to do.

1 Silly me! I never bothered adding labels to my posts. Sigh! It's going to be a long boring task but I'm going to do it.

2 I think it's time to mess with my template again...maybe.

3 I've been trying to add some of those nice tabs at the top of my blog to get organized and I'd like to finish that project.

So, yeah, that's about all I'm committing to right now. I'm excited to visit everyone's blogs and make new friends and learn some stuff. I'm woefully ignorant when it comes to a lot of it!

Most Boring Post Ever

1 It looks like Dr Chase is safe on House MD. YAY!!!! K, I'm pathetic, I know.

2 ?Unlike Suey, who did an awesome recap you can check out, I won't be doing a recap post of LTUE. But I will have posts discussing different things I found interesting...just so you know. ;)

3 I'm sorta organizing my blog and, if you haven't noticed, I have a few new tabs at the top of my blog. Feel free to make my mind numbing work validated. ;)

See? Told you it was one heck of a boring post. Mwa ha ha!

New Background

Yes, don't worry, you're at the right place. I get bored so quickly with things and I'm not popular enough to worry about whether it's OK to change my blog look or not so I've been messing around.

Anywho, what do you all think? I can't decide. I like the colors but maybe not how flowery. Ah, well.
