It's time for some more randomness!
1 Ugh! I'm in such a blogging slump! Somehow, with all the craziness going on in my life, I'm still managing to read great but blogging??? Not so much. So...I did write a review the other day and started getting annoyed with all the things I list. Like: Title, Author, Genre, Pages, etc. I love adding the first line of every book but are all those other things necessary? Do you even look at them? Sometimes I've seen people post the name of the series the book is in and what number it is which I really like but the other stuff...I don't know if it's necessary. Can't you just read the title and author off the picture of the book? I don't know tell me what you think.
2 Speaking of all the craziness. My husband and I own a duplex and had to send a tenant packing. We decided to renovate her side because it was in dire need of help. It's exhausting because we do so much of it ourselves. This time we decided to hire out the paint job because...well let's just say the words mental and breakdown were bandied about. So we got some bids, hired it out and...I should just do these things myself! I'm such a control freak I want to hover over their shoulders and correct every little thing they do! I'm going to get through this. I just need to remember to breathe!
3 Shout out time! I used to be utterly obsessed with TV. I'd watch a million shows live (none of that DVR stuff for me). I knew what new shows were coming out each season and would make a schedule so I could check them out...you may remember because I posted about it a few times. Anywho, I hardly watch TV now. I just can't seem to get in to anything anymore. BUT! I love Jane The Virgin. It's so ridiculously, stupidly perfect! Have you seen it? Cause season 1 is on Netflix. You should watch it. I also actually have gotten into another show too. ABC's The Family. You may have seen me Tweeting about it. It's so addicting! Go on, check it out. Oh, and Game of Thrones is coming back! Wahoo!

Book Blogger Appreciation Week Day 5
It's the 5th and final day of BBAW. I've had a lot of fun participating in the weeks events. Today we're talking about blogger burnout. Do you get it. And what to do about it.
I've been blogging since 2011. In 2013 I met a handsome fellow and began dating, got engaged and married. As a result of this, my blogging fell by the wayside for a year or two. Now, I wouldn't call this blogger burnout but it definitely felt like it. I was just so busy dating and then planning a wedding etc that blogging just wasn't a top priority. If I'd tried to keep it up it might have become a burden.
I've seen many bloggers over the years post about taking a break and then go silent for awhile but they return. I've also seen some of my favorite bloggers disappear completely from the blogging world. Did they fall victim to blogger burnout? I'm not sure but I think in their case and in mine it's clear to see what the culprit is: LIFE! Stupid, mundane yet busy life! So what do we do?
A few suggestions:
- Take a break if you need one. A guilt free break!
- Blogging is not and should not become a chore. Remember why you started book blogging? It's because you loved books and reading. When books become just one more thing you have to read and review, take a step back and reevaluate. Reading should be enjoyable not a chore.
- Don't read books you don't want to. It can seem overwhelming to get requests for reviews either from self published authors or a genuine publisher and it's hard to say no, but guess what? You can say no. Again: don't feel guilty!
- Don't feel guilty!
And that's my advise. Not very exciting or mind-blowing, I know but hey. Thanks again to the lovely ladies who brought back BBAW and hosted it. I had a ton of fun!

Book Blogger Appreciation Week Day 3
It's day 3 of BBAW! Today We're supposed to talk about books we've read because of a fellow blogger.
Oh my gosh! My TBR list used to be like maybe 200 books. Now It's over 700 and that's with me going through it every once and awhile and purging it! So, how did it get to be that much? I started blogging!
I used to keep track of every book recommendation and add it to my reviews. So if my friend Suey read and loved a book that looked good to me I'd add it to Goodreads and make a note that she was the one who recommended it. Then link back to her review in my review. Alas, I stopped doing that. I was never sure if anyone even noticed or used the link. Maybe I should bring it back? What do you think?
Back to talking about books that I've read because of a fellow blogger. I'm going to give a shout out to my friend Susan of Bloggin' 'Bout Books. Lately everything she reads looks just fascinating. Her reviews (when they're in favor of the book) make me want to go right out and buy said book right now and read it RIGHT now!
Here's a few books I've read because of her...
Pines by Blake Crouch. This one just looked too mysterious and weird not to read! I inhaled in in two days and am very intrigued. I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series.
Bone Gap by Laura Ruby
This was one of my favorite books last year. This book deserves way more praise than it's getting. Magical realism at it's best here, folks!
And because of Susan I've added these little gems to my TBR list. I have no doubt they'll be just as good.
Black-Eyed Susans Julia Heaberlin
It's about a survivor of a serial killer. It sounds very mysterious and exciting!
(I didn't link this one to Susan because I can't find her review of it. Now I'm thinking maybe I didn't even see this one on her blog but I SWEAR I did. So maybe she was talking about it?? Correct me if I'm wrong, Susan)
The Sparrow Sisters by Ellen Herrick
It sounds like a delightful magic realism reminiscent of Sarah Addison Allen only maybe a bit darker.
So what about you? What books have you read because of a fellow blogger?

Hello, Is There Anybody Out There?
Back in 2013 when I met my husband and began dating, my blogging really slowed down. Then after getting married and spending our fist year together, it got even quieter on my blog. When I finally got back into this blogging world I was so sad to see that so many of my favorite bloggers had stopped posting. I started thinking that maybe this whole blogging thing was really, once and for all becoming extinct.
But, I like to pretend I'm resilient so I continued to blog. Joined Top Ten Tuesday and saw that so many people are still book blogging! Yay! So I selected a few new to me blogs and commented on them...and started following them and commenting on all their posts.
See, not so long ago this was the way to get others to follow and comment on your blog. Not that I HAVE to have comments but it's nice to get reciprocation, conversation, discussion, you know? I got nothing! What's up with this book blogging world? I'm so confused and sad. I miss the old days. Sigh!
Oh, well, in the mean time I shall follow my small group of blogging buddies who regularly post and interact with me.
Anyone out there agree with me that this whole blog interaction thing has changed dramatically?

Book Bloggers I Miss
While cleaning up my side bar the other day I was noticing all the bloggers who aren't posting anymore. Sometimes there's a reason but sometimes bloggers just stop blogging and I get it, I really do. It's been a major struggle to keep up with this blogging world now that I'm working full time. All the same, I miss these bloggers and just thought I'd give them all a shout out...though, they probably don't even follow blogs anymore and probably won't see this. :( I'll never take them off my sidebar, though, because one day they might start blogging again and I want to be there when it happens. (cause, yes, I'm a weirdo who reads blogs from my sidebar, not Google Reader.)
Tristan from Reads With Wreckless Abandon
I think Tristan's blog is absolutely beautiful and I could never visit it without adding a few books to the TBR pile.
Selina from Fragments Of Fiction
I still sometimes click on over to Selina's blog just to look at her design. I LOVE it! At least she's still around on Goodreads but I still miss her blog.
Bekka from Pretty Deadly Reviews
I'm so sad all the blogging drama that happens got to Bekka. I loved her posts. Her raving reviews of books she didn't like made me happy! I wasn't the only one who yells at books. :) Miss you, Bekka.
B.J from The Dark Side of the Covers
I can't even link to her site because it's gone but I miss B.J. Maybe she's out there still blogging under a different name and I just missed it.
Sheesh! That turned out to be a bit sad. I wasn't trying to me so morose just thought I'd say I missed their posts cause I do. Anyone else out there who misses blogging buddies who don't blog anymore?

In My Thoughts This Fine Day #5
1. So, in this new world of Netflix and On Demand and Red Box, renting a movie is practically a click of a button away. It's quite nice really. I don't have Netflix and rarely use Red Box's but I rent all my movies off On Demand. There's nothing like deciding I want to watch that latest new release and not having to go out to get it or worry that it might be all rented out. With just a few pushes of a button on the remote, I'm watching. Glorious! But, um, there is a not so tiny flaw in this system that really bothers me. I hate that if I want to watch an old favorite that I don't own, I'm screwed. Red Box and On Demand are very limited on movie selections and even Netflix fails more often than not. How the heck are we supposed to watch our old favorites if we didn't buy them? You know? Thank goodness for my local library and their great selection. But how long will that be around? How long until that's obsolete and hundreds of old movies get lost to us forever? Stresses me out, people!
2 I've whined about the Auto Correct on my phone before but now I'm going to whine again. For some unfathomable reason my phone chooses to think that THIS should be THUS. Seriously?! Who the hell even says THUS anymore?! Why on earth would it think THUS must be the word I wanted? Ticks me off! Thus the rant. ;)
3 The whole not using pictures on our blogs that we don't have permission for kinda ticks me off. Mainly because I think if you post a picture on the worldwide web you've pretty much put it out there and need to accept that it's probably going to get stolen. Sorry, but it's true. Plus if I post a picture on my blog and someone steals it I could care less. Why? Because the minute I put it on the internet I accept what all people should. It's out there. It's going to get used. I'm also just mad that I need to go take all the pictures off my old blog posts so I don't run the risk of getting sued. I don't have time, people! Argh. I bet you half the pictures I "stole" were stolen to begin with!

Ramble Much?
My little brain is all over the place lately and I'm afraid my blogging slump is still going on and on. :( Anywho, I thought I'd just ramble for a bit.
First off, "my boys" played Barcelona, their biggest rivals, on Saturday and won!!! My throat was actually sore from all the screaming that happened. And, yeah, everyone thought Ronaldo was man of the match but my vote goes to Arbeloa, yes, the vampire. ;)
They're playing an important game today as well against a dang German team. Don't even get me started on my hate for German soccer teams. You'll get plenty of that this summer during the Euro Cup. ;)
Secondly, I'm pondering some post ideas and changes and wondering if anyone actually reads or cares about my Sunday Salon posts? I don't mind writing them up but I feel like for you, the reader, they're horribly boring and I'm thinking about dumping them all together. Anyone care?
Thirdly, I'm about two inches from going to the book store and spending a ridiculous amount of money on books I want! I'm trying to be better at budgeting my money since I don't have a job at the moment and am starting to feel like I'll NEVER get one. :( Anywho, I could use some sage advice about now or I'm going to lose it!
And forthly, awhile ago I whined about blogs I read and comment on all the time but who never return the favor. And it occurs to me I may be inadvertently doing this myself. do any of you lovely bloggers visit me all the time and never hear a peep from me on your blog? I'd feel awful if this is so. Let me know and I'll rectify the situation. We're all friends here. :)
Thanks for listening to my rambling. Bear with my while I sludge through this slump. Happy reading!

Whoops
I'm so embarrassed! It was my 1 year blogiversary on Wednesday. I wasn't planning on doing anything huge about it but I thought I'd at least announce it! Ah well. So here it is, two days late, a few words about my last year blogging.
My IRL friend Suey was always trying to get me to blog and though I thought it would be fun I kept putting it off. Why? Well, because I've seen quite a few blogs start up and months or even weeks later die off. So I took starting a blog very seriously. I wanted to be sure I was sure and commit. Make sense? Anywho, after much hemming and hawing I started up a blog and thus began my foray into this crazy world of book blogging.
It's been a fun year and my favorite thing, of course, is all the awesome friends I've made. I wasn't expecting the fun relationships I'd make but I'm glad they're made. It's so awesome having friends all over the world. If you guys are ever in my neck of the woods and need a place to crash, you're welcome to crash on my couch. You'll just have to ignore all the cat hair. ;)
You'd think after a year I'd be all settled in and comfortable with this blogging thing but I'm always learning new things every day and rethinking the way I do stuff. I'm happy you've all stuck with me and I hope you continue to do so.
Here's to another great year!

Uninspired Or Lazy?
I'm not having a hard time reading other people's blogs. I'm not having a hard time commenting on said blogs. I'm not having a hard time reading. I'm not having a hard time coming up with blog post ideas.
So why the heck don't I feel like blogging?!
I'm off to sit in the sun and warm my toes while reading a book. Happy Monday!

Following/Commenting Quandary
Well, this is probably going to be one heck of an awkward post but I'm really fretting about a few things and would love your wisdomous insight.
1 Anyone else have those people whose blog you follow and religiously read and comment on nearly every day and, yet, they NEVER come by your blog and comment, let alone read it? It would be nice if these people would acknowledge the fact that I comment on their blogs all the time and return the favor once and awhile, but here's my real question. Since they don't, should I follow these people who don't bother to "follow" me back? Hmmm, such a conundrum. I don't want to be rude and unfollow them but I don't really feel like spending my precious time reading and commenting anymore. Especially since there's thousands of book blogs out there I could be reading instead and THEY might actually return the favor. So, what do I do? What say you? By the by, if you feel like I do this to you guys please, seriously, let me know. I really do try to make an effort and read and comment on my loyal reader's blogs. If I don't, I'm sorry. :(Again, let me know and I'll rectify it.
2 Speaking of thousands of book blogs, how on earth do you guys manage to keep up with your reading of all of them? I struggle with this as I'm sure most of you do. To be honest, I only usually read the ones on my sidebar not EVERYONE I'm following. I'd like to but it's impossible! I've noticed that sometimes if I comment on someones blog THEN they'll come read and comment on mine. Is that how you guys do it? Or do you just read the posts that look interesting? Or do you have favorites you check out everyday no matter what? Ahhh! See my problem. How to keep up?! I would love to be able to read and comment on every single blog I follow and then some, but how?
Well, I could go on and on with my questions but I'll give it a rest for the day. ;) I'd love your advice, though.
(added after reading a few comments and realizing I've been slightly misunderstood. I should have said this better) I like the "relationship" that forms between the bloggers who comment on my blog and whose blogs I comment on. When it's one sided it's not so very fun...you know? So, this isn't about comments for the sake of comments but more about a one sided relationship. Does that make anymore sense???

End Of The Year Book Survey
I saw this fun survey over on It's All About Books and she got it from The Perpetual Page-Turner. I've decided I better do some kind of year wrap up...don't you? Oh well, you have to sit though it anyway. ;)
Bookish Bests
1. Best Book You Read In 2011?
The Neon Court (Matthew Swift 3) by Kate Griffin of course! Seriously, people, how much do I have to rave about this series until you pick it up?!
2. Most Disappointing Book/Book You Wish You Loved More Than You Did?
Oh, wow this is a toss up! Can I choose two? K, I'd have to go with Intertwined by Gina Showalter and Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken. Intertwined had the coolest sounding premise ever AND a male protagonist. I was so freaking excited to read it and all I got was bad writing and a book that dragged on and on! Brightly Woven could have been so good but I felt like the author got to obsessed with having her characters travel all over the map that came with her book and it took forever to get to the point.
3. Most surprising (in a good way!) book of 2011?
The Ghost and the Goth by Stacy Kade. I thought the cover was funny and I thought it would be a light fluffy story so I bought it put it on my shelf and there it sat for quite awhile. I Finally picked it up this year and ended up LOVING it! It was light and funny, but well thought out and even had some depth to it. Don't you love that?!
4. Book you recommended to people most in 2011?
Holy crap, I'm always talking about The Matthew Swift series so I'd have to say those books but since no one has picked it up...that I know of...I'd also say the Curse Workers series.
5. Best series you discovered in 2011?
The Shade series by Jeri Smith-Ready. I've discovered others and liked them too but the Shade series takes the cake!
6. Favorite new authors you discovered in 2011?
New to me? Jeri Smith-Ready, Rebecca Lim, Dan Wells, Sara Zarr. And it's not just cause I liked their books. It's because they actually know how to write.
7. Best book that was out of your comfort zone or was a new genre for you?
Well, either I didn't read a genre I usually don't or there isn't a genre I won't read cause I can't think of a book I read that was out of my comfort zone. I can say I wouldn't have read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith if my book club hadn't read it and I liked it so maybe that can count.
8. Most thrilling, unputdownable book in 2011?
Literally? The DUFF by Kody Keplinger. I started reading it one night and stayed up all night to read it. I could NOT put it down.
9. Book you most anticipated in 2011?
The Neon Court by Kate Griffin. It's the third is a series and I was so freaking excited waiting for it.
10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2011?
7. Most Popular Post This Year On Your Blog (whether it be by comments or views)?
Yeah, the post, Sheltered Childhood or Misinterpreted Youth, got so much attention I was going nuts. ;)
8. Post You Wished Got A Little More Love?
I LOVE writing my soccer posts and I wish they got a little more love, even if they aren't about books. :(
9. Best bookish discovery (book related sites, book stores, etc.)?
Again, just starting to blog and making friends with all you guys was a great bookish discovery.
10. Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year?
Yep, just finished my Goodreads challenge of reading 100 books. I also finally read Under the Dome this year. Yay!
Looking Ahead...
1. One Book You Didn't Get To In 2011 But Will Be Your Number 1 Priority in 2012?
The Vampire Academy series. I seriously need to read these books!
2. Book You Are Most Anticipating For 2012?
Um, yeah, The Minority Council (Matthew Swift 4) by Kate Griffin. Did you have to ask? I also can't wait for Black Heart (Curse Workers 3) by Holly Black
3. One Thing You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging In 2012?
I'd like to organize my blog a little better and just catch up on all those series I feel so behind on.

9. Book you most anticipated in 2011?
The Neon Court by Kate Griffin. It's the third is a series and I was so freaking excited waiting for it.
10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2011?
Well, I think I'll have to got with Existence by Abbi Glines. I don't know why but I just love it!
11. Most memorable character in 2011?
There's a lot of FAVORITE new characters but if I had to choose one that was memorable I'd say Holling Hoodhood from The Wednesday Wars.
12. Most beautifully written book read in 2011?
Kate Griffin (The Matthew Swift series) writes amazingly but I also loved Rebecca Lim's (Mercy) writing too.
13. Book that had the greatest impact on you in 2011?
I re-read Getting the Girl by Markus Zusak and cried the whole way through it. I just LOVE that book. It's one of those books that you swear was written just for you.
14. Book you can't believe you waited UNTIL 2011 to finally read?
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. N'uff said.
15. Favorite Passage/Quote From A Book You Read In 2011?
I'm not sure. I'm not a highlighting reader I just smile at beautiful sentences and move on. I'd have to agree with my friend Suey and say Markus Zusak probably takes the cake in the writing department.
16. Book That You Read In 2011 That Would Be Most Likely To Reread In 2012?
Oh man, a lot! the Curse Workers series. The Ghost and the Goth. Heck, I might even re-read the Matthew Swift series again this year.
17. Book That Had A Scene In It That Had You Reeling And Dying To Talk To Somebody About It? (a WTF moment, an epic revelation, a steamy kiss, etc. etc.) Be careful of spoilers!
Under the Dome by Stephen King. It could have been because I was reading it with a group and I actually got to talk about everything with people but, yeah, that one for sure.
Book Blogging/Reading Life in 2011
1. New favorite book blog you discovered in 2011?
I just started blogging this year so everyone's blog was a new discovery for me!
2. Favorite review that you wrote in 2011?
Actually it was pre-blog but I liked my review of...you guessed it, The Neon Court.
3. Best discussion you had on your blog?
My post, Sheltered Childhood or Misinterpreted Youth, had so many comments it actually started bugging me. ;)
4. Most thought-provoking review or discussion you read on somebody else's blog?
Jessica from Thoughts At One In The Morning has fun discussions and B.J from Dark Side of the Covers has a great discussion post once a week.
5. Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?
Markus Zusak signing for sure! It was so freaking awesome to actually meet him and see him in person and have him sign my books. He was so nice and personable that it just made it that much better.
6. Best moment of book blogging in 2011?
Uh, I'd say just getting started blogging was probably the best. But meeting all you awesome bloggers is my favorite part too.
12. Most beautifully written book read in 2011?
Kate Griffin (The Matthew Swift series) writes amazingly but I also loved Rebecca Lim's (Mercy) writing too.
13. Book that had the greatest impact on you in 2011?

Well, that's all, folks. I hope you stuck with me. It's been a fun reading year and I'm excited for 2012 and all the books it will hold.

New Background
Yes, don't worry, you're at the right place. I get bored so quickly with things and I'm not popular enough to worry about whether it's OK to change my blog look or not so I've been messing around.
Anywho, what do you all think? I can't decide. I like the colors but maybe not how flowery. Ah, well.

My Reading Eveloution
Change. It's a good thing, right? That's what they say but I have to admit, though some change is good I often find myself wondering why things have to change at all, but I digress. I've been thinking about my reading habits and how they've changed from what they were 6 or 7 years ago.
I've always loved to read but until a about 6 years ago my habits were quite different. It seems like a lot of book bloggers got more into reading and blogging because of either Harry Potter or Twilight or both. I'm not accusing everyone of that but it seems like those series helped a lot of book lovers become even more immersed in reading. If this is true, then what kind of reader were you before? I was quite different.
Old Habits
See, things have changed quite a bit. Mostly I'm glad of it, but I do miss those lazy days at the library spent browsing and I still struggle with that feeling that I'm reading too much too fast to truly enjoy it. And if you're wondering what started this change of reading habits...it wasn't a single book, it was actually my book club. I started going and a whole new world opened up to me. How about you, how have your habits changed? Was it a certain book that brought you back to reading or have you always been a huge reader? And how do you deal with reading so much so fast? Am I alone in my feelings about truly enjoying a book?

Old Habits
- I wasn't always reading a book, in fact, there were times I actually went months (gasp!) without reading anything at all.
- Because of the above mentioned habit, I almost feel like I enjoyed books a little more back in those days. I know that sounds crazy, but when your jumping from book to book with not even a 24 hour break it's hard to feel like you can really and truly enjoy something.
- I never read more than one book at a time.
- The whole going months without reading...yeah, that was because I was one of those morons who was under the impression that there was nothing to read. Silly me.
- I was a library browser. When I had gone months without reading I would get that itch for a good book and would go to the library. I'd wander through the shelves for hours, pick up a book, read the synopsis, and THAT was my entire book choosing and reading process.
- I didn't ever really discuss anything I was reading with anybody else. So sad.
- I read mostly mystery as a teenager. Maybe that's why I read so much teen stuff now.
- I wasn't opposed to trying a genre that was different and new but I usually didn't read anything but my preferred genre.
- I sometimes read more than one book at a time.
- When I finish a book I don't go more than 24 hours without starting another.
- The poor library is still used but gone are the browsing days. I usually have s specific goal in mind when I go and there's no room for browsing that would lead to more books to read.
- I'll read almost anything now. Any genre or style.
- Obviously I discuss books with other people now. Blogging is a blast and I adore my book club and all the discussions we've had.
- Oh, sure I used to buy a few books but now? Holy crap, I buy books like crazy!
- There's a whole world of bookish things online that I never even knew about.
- I now have a completely different appreciation for books and reading. It's hard to read book reviews in newspapers and magazines and not be intrigued.
- I recognize author's names, and not just the big ones, and go to lots of fun bookish events.
See, things have changed quite a bit. Mostly I'm glad of it, but I do miss those lazy days at the library spent browsing and I still struggle with that feeling that I'm reading too much too fast to truly enjoy it. Liebster Blog Award
Wow! I got an award!
The Liebster Blog Award is designed to bring additional recognition to those bloggers with less than 200 followers. If you receive the award, you should link back to the blogger that nominated you and nominate five more blogs. Also, don’t forget to let them know that you nominated them.
Jenni Elyse kindly nominated me for this award and I'm very flattered. Thanks, Jenni! So here are my own nominations.
Roxy from Keeping up with Roxy's Books
Ang from Eastern Sunset Reads
Jessica from Thoughts At One In the Morning
Kaye from Paper Reader
Samantha from Caught in the Pages
This was really hard! Choosing just five is not fair. Sigh.

What I like about you
What I Like About You Tag is tag created by Roxy of Keeping Up With Roxy's Books that answers some questions about other bloggers! Almost like sharing the blogger love. Everybody can do it just answer the following questions!
1. The blogger who first left a comment on your blog? Suey of It's All About Books. She found me while I was still putting my blog together. I still have no idea how. Plus she was the one that convinced me to finally start blogging in the first place.
2. Name a blogger who has the cutest button? Hmmm, I like Samita's of Book Purring. Probably cause I like cats so much. ;)
3. The blogger who blogs about a lot of things other than books? Brodi Ashton's blog has me cracking up all the time.
4. The most creative blog? I love the whole look and idea behind Tristan's blog: Reads With Reckless Abandon.
5. The blogger with the prettiest blog design? Definitely Selina's blog, Fragments of Fiction. I love the name, the look, and Selina's pretty great too. ;)
So, TAG YOU ARE IT! I want everybody to do this tag and share the blogger love!

R.A.K
So, I participated in R.A.K hosted by Book Soulmates for the month of July, and though I didn't receive any books I did send two to some fellow bloggers and made two new friends and isn't that what it's really all about?
I sent Never Let Me Go to Rebekka of Pretty Deadly Reviews.
And I sent Wither to Kristen of Such A Teenage Bookworm.
I'm a little too stressed and busy this month to join R.A.K again, but maybe next month.

First time for everything
So I've been blogging for just over three months and I'm having my very first blogging slump! How excitingly dull. Usually, if I have no fun ideas for my blog or reviews, I just do a meme but I get to bored of reading them sometimes and so writing them is very boring too.
Anywho, I thought I'd just do a random post again with a few thoughts I've been having.
First off, I was very depressed to hear that Borders is officially going out of business. My Borders made the first cut of closing stores and now that it will be closing too I feel horribly depressed! I HATE Barnes and Noble! They charge full price for everything! You have to pay just to get there 10% off membership and they NEVER offer coupons. Plus I hate buying stuff on line. I like to actually go to the bookstore, smell the inky, papery, coffee smell, and wander amongst the shelves until I find the book I want. Buying online just isn't the same! Good bye, dear Borders, you'll be sorely missed!
Am I alone in this? I always read a synopsis to a book and immediately imagine how it will be. I make up the rest of the story in my head, fill in the holes with my own ideas and eagerly wait to get my hands on the actual book. Then when I do get the book and read it I always find that it never was what I expected. It's either better and my silly imaginings are forgotten in the beauty of its reality or it's not. I hate when the latter happens. I always end up thinking, "I could have done better than that!" Either way it ALWAYS happens. And I'm not talking about high expectations here. I mean reading the synopsis and imagining what I'd do with that outline.
Well I've leave you be for now. Have a great week and forgive my slump. I'll just have to let it run it's course.
