Adult Literature Month

Hee Hee! I love saying adult books. It makes people think of risque books. Alas, if you like that sort of thing, I'm just talking about books written for adults. AKA not YA. I predominately read YA and as much as I love it, I think YA  books may be rotting my brain. So welcome to my Adult Literature Month! For the month of February I shall only be reading adult literature. I'll post my reviews and a few themed discussion posts. I'm really excited! I mean, I love YA books but adult books are great too. Right?

Here's what I'll be reading this month. Yeah, I only have 3 books planned. I'm right in the middle of a remodel of my soon to be library so I don't know how much time I'll have to read. Plus, adult books sometimes take a bit longer to read. So, hopefully I'll get to more books but this is what I plan on to begin with. What do you think of my choices?

Of course you can join me. You don't have to link up or do anything special. Just commit to reading only adult books for the month. Easy, Peasy! Let's get this party started!

  1. Ooh, Pines! You might be adding 2 more books to your list when you finish Pines. I plowed through that series back to back which is very unlike me. Have fun!!

  2. Sadly, I feel like YA is really getting to me as well. Although I've tried to read NA books and they're almost as bad. Hope the adult books are a refreshing change!

  3. I love YA, too, but reading too many of them in a row can make me crazy. Adult books (hee hee -- makes me snicker, too) are always a nice change of pace. I enjoyed both PINES and WHAT ALICE FORGOT. A RELIABLE WIFE sounds good as well. I'll be anxious to see what you think of all these. Good luck with your reading and remodeling!

  4. Well, I guess technically, Little Women is considered an adult book since YA didn't exist back then. So, I could do this with you. Maybe. I'll think about it. Lol. How's that for a commitment? Good luck with your own reading!

  5. I can't do it!!! LOL! Maybe I'll add an adult book to my pile??? :) And I have heard nothing about any of your books. Can't wait to see how they turn out. Oh, and we need to do a BANTER... what adult themed banter should we do? Ha!

  6. Awesome! I was planning on just reading romance this month... but then the A Darker Shade of Magic Readalong started, and since I had it on my TBR shelves... so I'm just going to try to read more romance.

I already read a fairly good balance of YA and Adult, and I review both on my blog. I too also giggle when I time Adult Books, because it just sounds dirty. ;)

Good luck with your reading this month, I can't wait to read your reviews and participate in the discussions!

The lion's share of my reading is also made up of YA . . . or even "worse," MG! LOL! But thanks to my ongoing TBR reading challenge, in which others get to choose my next read for me, there have been more than usual "adult" books in the mix.

I haven't read any of the books in the photo above, but I look forward to your discussion posts, Jenny! =)

    1. There's nothing wrong with MG or YA I just like to mix it up.

I know there's nothing wrong with them. I guess my attempt at irony missed the goal! =)

  8. Ooh fun! I've been wanting to read more adult books too, but keep gravitating toward the YA on my shelf and Kindle. One of my reading goals for 2016 was to get back to some of my favourite pre-blogging authors like Nora Roberts and Heather Graham. Maybe I'll try to read a few this month!

I've heard a lot of great things about Liane Moriarty's books lately. I hope you enjoy these!
