March Wrapup 2016

Oh, wow! I'm so funny. Remember when I talked about planning out the books I'd be reading in advance each month and posting pics on Instagram? Remember when I talked about what I'd be reading in March? Remember when I talked about how I really don't plan out what I'm going to read because I'm a mood reader? Yeah, I shouldn't have tried to plan out anything. I read one book in March that I intended to...then I went off schedule. Oh well!

 Shine by Jeri Smith-Ready
Finally finished this series. With wonderful world building and great characters including a hot Scottish boy, I really love this series.

A Head Full Of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay
Intriguing and suspenseful. Had me enraptured the whole time. Crappy ending, though.

The Haunting of Sunshine Girl by Paige Mackenzie and Alyssa B. Sheinmel
Silly but entertaining and suspenseful YA.

Love The One You're With by Emily Giffin
Totally engrossing, addictive chick lit. Just what I needed this month.

Aaaaand there you have it. Favorite of the month was Love The One You're With. No least favorite this month. I liked them all. That's rare!

Plans for April...Ha Ha Ha. I'm not making reading plans. That didn't go so well. My husband and I are working on remodeling one of our rentals and it's consuming my life. So, I need to just mood read this month like I did in March.

  1. I make plans, but then other books always seem to get in the way; so sometimes having no bookish plans is the best way to read. :)

  2. I think it’s great that you read what you want, when you want. I’ve been struggling with my TBR posts too. I like thinking up a list of books I might read during the month, but I also worry too much about sticking to that list. I’ll probably keep making them, but worry less about sticking to it.

    1. Yeah, I have fun making a list but not so much sticking to it.

  3. Ha ha ha! I sometimes stick to my plans and most of the time I don't. But, I still like to plan. It's my J in my ESFJ personality. :) I'm glad you liked all the books you read!!!

  4. I rarely follow my plans, either. I am too moody! Glad you had a good reading month in the end!

  5. lol, I like to plan, but I NEVER hold myself to it. Because I rarely ever stay on track unless I want to. So, I guess I'm a moody planner? Mostly I'm just trying to read a lot from my own books, to tackle my tbr.

It's great you had a good reading month!

    1. Me too. I'm reading from my own shelves so I figure that's good enough!

  6. I gave up - for the most part - planning out what books I'll read for a given month. It never worked out, not really. I'm a moody reader, I guess. Excellent that you wound up with a good reading month with liking all that you did read. Good luck on the remodeling, doesn't sound too fun to me, but I hope it's an enjoyable thing for you.

    1. Nope, remodeling is not my favorite thing. A necessary evil.

  7. Well, I was never a planner myself and then I logged onto Goodreads and saw that I am two books behind on my reading challenge! I don't think I read any books in Feb or March :( And with April taken up by NaNo i'll have to get a move on. Not enough hours in the day.

At least you have the excuse of needing to organise the upgrade of the rental and not just a slacker like me!

    1. Oh, I slack off just great, thanks. I think I'm behind on my reading goal too. Sigh!

  8. I'm not good at reading plans either. Sometimes I post pictures of books I need to read hoping it will shame me into reading them but it doesn't usually work lol

    1. Yeah, I started posting pics of the books I plan on reading but haven't really stuck to it.

  9. Weirdly enough, the more I "assign" myself books to read the less I want to read them. I enjoy reading the most when I'm just going with the flow and choosing books based on my mood.

  10. I'm a bit of a mood reader too, but if I have line up, sometimes I'm excited to get to certain books.

    1. Yeah, I really want to finish some series and I'm excited to do it but I just couldn't make myself pick them up this month.
