May Wrap Up

May has come and gone. For some reason I feel like I read, like, 1 book this past month but, as it turns out, I read 5. Go me! Although I'm still behind on my Goodreads goal. Sigh!

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, Burning Glass by Kathryn Purdie, Black Eyed Susans by Julia Heaberlin, Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy #5) by Richelle Mead and Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy #6) by Richelle Mead

Favorites of the month.
Loved that I finally finished this series and I'm glad because all my other reads this month were mediocre but these were great!

Least favorite.
I had such high hopes for this one but it was just too slow and the ending irked me.

So, there you have it.

Plans for June include reading The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and I Am Malala for book club. Oh, and finish replacing our fence.

  1. I think I've got the whole Vampire Academy series on my shelf thanks to the publisher. I've yet to crack any of them open. Glad to know they're good. I'll get to them someday!

  2. I read I Am Malala earlier this year; I thought it was good. Definitely a good book club book. Here's hoping June brings you lots of really good reads...and no merely mediocre ones. :)

  3. That's a really good reading month! Somehow I didn't manage any books in May but I'm excited to read the Malala book for book club. :)

  5. At least you read more than you expected! Hope June is a good reading month. I read all four books in The Raven Cycle in May and loved them!

    1. I know! I finally got an audio book of it. Not my favorite format but I'll take what I can get.

  7. Black eyed Susans I think will officially come off my TBR list.

  8. I'm sad Black Eyed Susans wasn't better- it keeps catching my eye... but it's not like I don't have a million other books clamoring for my attention.

  9. I'm still way behind on my Goodreads challenge too, but I'm hoping this month will result in some great reading and I will be able to catch up at least a little bit!
