Now YOU Can Enjoy A Soccer Post # 3

Apparently Xabi Alonso reads before a game. Hmmm, sounds like a good way to warm up to me

I just love that these two taking the picture got caught in a picture themselves. ;)

Blog For The Sake Of Blogging

Um, the post title says it all.  I might as well just type, "blah blah blah," post some silly picture, maybe throw in a hot soccer guy picture and call it good. ;)

See, lately I'm struggling with reading, struggling with blogging, and basically just struggling in general. Sigh! :( But I feel so horrible when I just fade away into depression and don't post. And when I'm not even managing to read I don't even have a book to review.

So here it is. My pathetic post about nothing. Did you enjoy it?

How about now?

Is That Love or Fear?

Some fans at Real Madrid thought they were just going to have their picture taken with the club's new shirt...they didn't think they were going to get to meet some of my boys. (the handsome men in white are my boys, btw)

Here we see Arbeloa (the vampire) leaning down and saying something to this little girl but what???

You be the judge of that. Is that fear or love in her eyes? Either way she sure won't take her eyes off him, will she?

Soccer Woes

It's soccer season again but you wouldn't know it. I don't know how I missed all the news but apparently a new TV channel has bought up all the rights to my precious La Liga. A TV channel that my cable provider doesn't carry. You think I was mad? You should see the outrage of millions of fans. It was crazy! So crazy that Comcast gave in and came to a deal with said sport channel. Unfortunately it's not on my line up yet. Soon, though....or else! Anywho, it's a shame because without me, their good luck charm, watching they're losing! Argh! Hurry, Comcast. They need me!

Now YOU Can Appreciate A Soccer Post #2

I've read it in two days. I didn't watch the movie but the book is great! Next one!

I didn't actually intend to make this a thing but as long as "my boys" keep Tweeting stuff like this I have no choice, right? Go ahead and click on the link in his Tweet. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised to see what book he's talking about.

This is "The Vampire" by the way. I guess he's not all bad.

Nope, not too bad at all. ;)

A Call To Arms!

After an hour an a half of gut wrenching and hand clinging while watching my game yesterday, it went into overtime. No! Then it went to penalties! Double no!

(for those of you who don't know the rules of soccer, don't worry. Just know that one never walks away from a game deciding penalty shoot out without the startings of an ulcer and lots of tears, good or bad.

Unfortunately "my boys" lost. They're out of The Champions League. :( It's bad enough that they lost but what makes it a million times worse is the dang German who scored the winning goal.

Let me introduce you to Schweinsteiger, pronounced, sh vyn -sh ty ger.

Isn't that arrogant face just asking for my fist?! Ugh! I can't even begin to explain my dislike for this man. He's arrogant as all get out and not even a good enough player OR good looking to make up for it! Disgraceful! Pale, pastey, freak!

I swear if this guy ever is unfortunate enough to come face to face with me, he's going to end up with a bloody nose and a broken foot! Maim Schweinsteiger, has become my motto. But I wan't to take it a step further.  I dislike the guy so much I've started using his name as a curse word, and that's where you come in. I'm hoping to make it spread as one nasty cuss. Come on, just say it. Try shaking your fist air the air and growling the word. Nice, huh? So join me and spread this word as a curse!

Suggestions: Son of a Schweinsteiger! You little Schweinsteiger! Mother Schweinsteiger! ;)

I Knew I Was Doing It Wrong

I knew I must be doing something wrong. See, when I go jogging it look's something like this...

When 'my boys' do it they look like this...

So, next time I go running I'm going to put a stupid grin on and see if that helps. ;)

In other news Zac Efron visited Real Madrid see...

Man! How I would have loved to be a crazy stalker racing across the field towards these hotties...er... a fly on the wall, I meant a fly on the wall. ;)

And, yeah, I know! I stole these pictures off Facebook thus the watermark. But I'm advertising!!! Soon you'll all be new fans!

Don't Let Their Smiles Fool You

Remember when I confessed that I thought this soccer player was a vampire?

Well, it looks like he's turning the whole team. Look.

Look at those freaky eyes! Don't let their smiles fool you, if they get you alone they might just nibble on you...wait, wouldn't that be a good thing? ;)

Lucky Charm Or Dumb Luck?

I am SOOOO taking credit for this! K, so yesterday I totally forgot that Real Madrid was playing. I know, and I call myself a fan, for shame! I was out running errands and talking on the phone with my sister when I realized my mistake. I instructed her husband to quickly look up the score for me, figuring it was about half time, only to discover they were two goals down. Depression was setting in and getting worse as my sister "jokingly" suggested I was their lucky charm and they were losing because I wasn't watching.

No, I didn't rush right home, taking my sisters words as truth, I went to Walmart and finished my shopping. THEN, I rushed home and, the minute I walked in the door, turned on the game. There were twenty five minutes left and they were still down two goals. Sigh. Then, and I kid you not, within five minutes of me turning on the TV they had scored twice and within twelve minutes they had scored three times to take the win!

I guess I AM their lucky charm. ;)

Oh, and here's a hot pic. I did talk soccer, after all.

What?! How else are we supposed to see their awesome thighs? ;)

Does This Color Bring Out Their Eyes?

Well, they've gone and done it. Here I was all comfortable with Real Madrid's usual white home kit and dark blue away kit when out of nowhere they spring red on me...RED?! So, here I am trying to decide which one I like best.

White

Dark Blue

Red

I guess it doesn't really matter...as long as they keep kickin' butt...and lookin' like this underneath. Right?

Finally! My Take on e-Readers

I know, you've read tons of blog posts on e-Readers. Some for them and some against them, but I know you've all been dying to know my take on them. So here goes.

Pros
-First and foremost, the amount of books you can carry with you in one small, light weight device. Very nice!
-The amount of FREE books you can download.
-Digital freaks are being tricked into reading. ;)
-Some let you subscribe to magazines.
-You can read them in the dark.

Cons
Just one really...I can't help but wonder when that huge apocalypse come, (cause we all know it's coming)  and two weeks later your e-Reader battery dies, and there's no power to charge the battery, then what will you do?! Huh? Huh?!

I tease, I tease. I just can't help but think of that every time people go on and on about how great e-Readers are.

By the by, even solar powered ones would be rendered useless if some pollution cloud was covering the earth, or the sun blew up etc, etc.

Now YOU Can Appreciate A Soccer Post # 1

Yes, that's right you heard me. I know you suffer through my soccer posts and only read them for the hot pics. That's OK, I understand, but after clicking on over to Real Madrid's website today and reading about the teams trip to France for another round in the Champions League against Olympique Lyonnais, I saw this...

Come on, admit it, that's kinda sexy. I did find out the book he's reading is Three Yellow Roses by Raymon Carver (anyone read it?)  but not what books are in the stack.

So feast your eyes on that, book lovers, cause now you can see there IS something to love about soccer and the players. ;)

Follow Friday

Q: What superhero is your alter-ego?

Let's face it, if I fell into a vat of radioactive waste, was bitten my a radioactive spider, or was simply born with a genetic anomaly that gave me a super power I'm far too bad tempered to ever choose to be a superhero. I might try, but the truth is, I'd probably become some horrible super villain. Or...
...Hancock, before his rehabilitation of course.

Or worse, If I had telekinesis I'm afraid I'd end up really, REALLY fat. :( I'm just being realistic here.

Happy Friday!

Method To My Madness

Sometimes, I click on over to Real Madrid's website and watch these "boring" videos.

Why, you ask? Ah, that's a great question. See, when soccer players are training you might notice that they aren't wearing cleats. Therefore, they are not wearing those knee length socks. What do I have to spell it out for you?  There calves aren't covered!  ;) So, if I ever want to see those hot calves I have to watch these "boring" videos. Now go ahead and watch it again, you know you want to. See? Wasn't it more fun when you have some dang nice calves to look at? ;)

If Soccer Players Were Vampires

Don't ask, I just though I'd share some more of those thoughts that probably would be better left unsaid.

This is Arbeloa...

...and of all the soccer players out there I've always thought he could pass as a vampire. Blame it on all the vampire books I've read but for some reason I see him and I think: vampire.

I like to blame it on his pale skin and those dark circles under his eyes but, truthfully, I think his malicious style of play is what really scares me.

Arbeloa is the one in white...just in case you didn't recognize those vampire qualities. The "incident"  takes place 24 seconds in to about 28 seconds.

Oh sure, he looks innocent enough but he totally meant to do that. Pretty freaky huh? I love him but I've seen him pull this kind of stuff too many times to ever want to go up against him in a game.

However, he could nibble on me anytime. ;)

Trouble in Paradise?

All good things must come to an end. (a story in pictures)

See Kaka
See Ronaldo
See their bromance

See Marcelo
See Marcelo and Ronaldo's budding bromance
Oh no he di'int!

It's a sad, sad day.

In other less exciting news, Real Madrid crushed Zaragoza in the first game of La Liga 6-0

Random Soccer-ness

Stupid sports politics! K, the truth is I don't understnad any of it and I'm just pissed cause I can't watch soccer yet! The La Liga season has been postponed and I don't know until when. It makes me crazy. In the mean time Real Madrid  played Galatasaray in the Santiago Bernabeu Trophy match today and it was slightly entertaining. Mainly because of this...

His name is Alvaro Morata he plays for Real Madrid's reserve team and...he's only 18.  Go ahead, call me a cradle robber.  He's just sooooo cute!!!! Anywho, he got to play today with the "big boys".

Another reason it was enjoyable today was because of this....
Antonio Adan, the "unknown" goalkeeper. Casillas is an amazing goal keeper and so, yeah, I'd prefer him to play but this poor (good looking) guy rarely gets to play, and yet, he has to go to every game and just sit on the bench and wait and wait. (he got to play today, in case you missed why I was talking about him)

And lastly, and I pray the soccer gods don't curse my beloved Real Madrid for saying this, I enjoyed today's game because of this...
Fernando Muslera, the goalkeeper for the other team. Oh, come on, like you don't want to pinch his cheeks too! He's just such a cutie.

So, yeah, the game was entertaining until the real season starts. Oh, and just in case you think me only interested in the guys. ;) Real Madrid won 2-1.
