The Sunday Salon

And now a bunch of useless information you never wanted to know about me. ;-)

Outside my window: It's another hot one!

I am listening to: Not much this week. :(

I am watching: I re-watched for the millionth time Anne of Green Gables and still laughed.

I am thinking: If only my cat weren't so needy I could go travel. I know, awful of me.

I am grateful for: My mom. ;) Yeah, so sue me! I'm a momma's girl.

I am reading: Still, working on Middlemarch and have started The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, which is surprisingly good.

I am photographing: Nothing this week. Next week I hope to have some fun stuff though.
I am listing: Ideas for how to organize my bookshelves at long last.

I am creating: Well, I gave my Blog a new look. It probably won't stay that way and I know you shouldn't change your blog's appearance but I figure I can do what ever I want! Hmph! ;) You like?

Around the house: It's HOT! I finally gave in and turned on the AC.

From the kitchen: I want to try to make these S'more cookies. I won't be putting blicky nuts in mine, though. I'll try it and report next week.

One of my favorite things: A clean house!

The children this week: No kids, just my cat Buns and she made terrific progress this week. She went outside once during daylight. Yeah, alright, it was only for 30 seconds but it's something.

Plans for the week: Ah, it's nice to have a pool but now I've got to vacuum it. Sigh!

Thanks to Ibeeeg of Polishing Mud Balls for the inspiration for this post's layout.

  1. What I wouldn't give for a pool. We used to have an above ground pool but it started leaking and when my parents took it down they never replaced it. I tell you, from having a pool to not was incredibly jarring - I lovelovelove to swim!

I'm grateful for my mum, too. And my kitties. And the cookies I baked last night! :D

  2. I haven't watched Anne of Green Gables for years! I used to love it when I was younger. I think it may be time to revisit that story, but in book form since I've never read them.

  3. Kaye, Yes, I can imagine not having a pool after having one my whole life would be quite jarring.

    Techno Grandma, You're welcome. ;)

Jenni Elyse, The book got a little too long and same old, same old for me but I'll always love the movie.

  5. Tristan, Thanks! I had a cooler shot of the title background but I accidentally deleted it and could retrieve it. Sigh! I love having the pool but it does come with it's price.

  9. I love the Anne of Green Gables movies. Were they on TV? It seems like PBS always puts them on when they're doing a donation drive. :)

  10. iLuvReadingTooMuch, Yeah, it was fun until I had to take responsibility for it. ;)

Kathy, It wasn't on TV I own it. But that is one program that would make me want to donate. ;)
