I'm finally getting a minute of downtime to do my wrap up post for August. Hopefully I can start getting some reviews written so there's SOMETHING going up on my blog. August was a crazy month! With the trip to drive to Oregon at the end of the month looming and trying to get everything organized and packed my stress levels were through the roof. The trip went well, by the way, We made it there and back in one piece and after getting back home and both my husband and I crashing emotionally, I think we're finally back to finding some normalcy. Well, normalcy for us, anyway (we're painting at one of our rentals). Some how I managed eight books in August. Five of those were audiobooks which explains how I managed so many. Thank goodness for audiobooks, right?!
Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart, Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer, Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz, Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris, First Comes Love by Emily Giffin, Moonlight Over Manhattan by Sarah Morgan, A Gathering of Finches by Jane Kirkpatrick and Baby Teeth by Zoje Stage.
Favorites of the month were Letters to the Lost and First Comes Love. Lease favorites were Bring Me Back and Genuine Fraud.

August Wrap-Up 2017
And we're coming to the end of summer. August was an OK reading month for me but what was really exciting is I suddenly had a huge urge to blog again. Did you notice? Utah book week helped but something just got lit under me because I suddenly am just itching to blog. Not sure how long it will last but I guess we'll see. Here's what I read in August.
The Break Down by B. A. Paris, The Secret by Rhonda Byrnes, My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand/Brodi Ashton/Jodi Meadows, After Hello by Lisa Mangum and Alienated by Melissa Landers
Favorites of the month were The Break Down and The Secret. No least favorites this month. They were all pretty good.

Utah Book Week 2017
It's that time of year again! August 25th through the 31st is Utah Book Week! I'm so glad my friends decided to host it this year. I was going to read some Utah author books this month in an unofficial nod to past years because I didn't think anyone was going to host this year but I have awesome friends!
If you want to join in and read books by Utah authors for that week please do. It's so fun! And go check out their blog page to hear more about other exciting things going on.
Here's the books I'm planning on reading.
Yeah, yeah, I'm only reading two but it's only a week. Give me a break!

August Wrap Up
Oi! I think I survived August. Now if I can just make it through these next few weeks, I think things will finally slow down. Maybe I'll have more time to read. Maybe I'll blog more. Maybe I'll try a K-drama. Who knows. But one thing is for sure. I won't be remodeling for as long as I can possible help it! I only managed three books in August. I also had two books I put down because they just weren't doing it for me. Look at me getting all better at setting aside books! Alright, here you have it.
Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. Where We Belong by Emily Giffin and If Only It Were True by Marc Levy
Favorite of the month was Where We Belong. No least favorite. So, that's good. Here's hoping for a much calmer September and lots of reading and blogging!

August Wrapup 2015
Another month has come and gone. August as you well know was Utah Book Month. A month dedicated to books written by Utah authors. First off, I just want to give a huge shout out to Suey, Jenni Jessica and Kami. These wonderful book bloggers are IRL friends as well a amazing bloggers. They put in so much time and effort to make this Utah Book Month absolutely awesome. They organized challenges and Twitter chats with awesome authors like Sara Zarr, Sara B Larson, Julianne Donaldson and Courtney Alameda. And they planned an awesome IRL Utah Blogger/Author/Writer party. These girls always do such a wonderful job organizing something that they get absolutely nothing back from. You go girls!
So part of Utah Book Month is reading as many books written by Utah authors as you can. Sadly, I only read three books by Utah authors and one book not by a Utah author. Here they are.
Bone Gap
Magic realism at its finest. Seriously, read this on and then you can thank me.
Not In The Script (Utah Author)
Not enough plot but a cute enough romance.
Stitching Snow (Utah Author)
Like The Lunar Chronicles? This Snow White retelling will satisfy for sure!
Transparent (Utah Author)
Sketchy writing but character and story so awesome, you won't care.
There you have it. Favorite of the month was Bone Gap. Least favorite was Not In The Script.
September's plans
I don't usually make reading plans but this month I'll be reading The Girl On The Train for book club and Poison by my awesome book blogging buddy Lan!Can't wait.

Utah Book Month 2015
It's time for Utah Book Month again! A month dedicated to all the amazing authors from my home state of Utah. Check out The Utah Book Month page for more info and to sign up if you want to join us.
So what does this mean? Well, that's easy, it means a month dedicated to reading and reviewing books by Utah authors. There will be challenges and Twitter chats with authors. It's going to be a blast. Just our way of giving a shout out to all those Utah authors out there.

Did you know all these books and more were written by Utah authors? We have a pretty cool little state here, don't we? Technically Dan Wells Kiersten White and Orson Scott Card don't live in Utah anymore but I still claim them.

August and Summer Wrapup
Phew! Summer is finally out of here! Poor Summer it's not its fault I'm such a fair weathered friend. Oh well. This month was a slower calmer reading month for me but I think enjoyed everything I read. How nice is that?
Shade by Jeri Smith-Ready
A wonderful, well thought out, attention to the details, book.
Possession by Elana Johnson
It was all like a strange, strange dream.
Nightlife by Rob Thurman
Action packed adventure meets amazingly relatable characters in this fun urban fantasy.
Shift (Shade 2) by Jeri Smith-Ready
Bring on the answers to the first book. Whoohoo!
The Power of Six (Lorien Legacies 2) by Pittacus Lore
When bad writing is good. So good!
Favorite of the month were Shade and Shift. Least favorite was Possession but even it wasn't that bad. All in all, a good reading month.
Now onto my Summer wrapup. You may recall I wrote a post about the books I planned on reading this summer here. Well, with the exception of a few books I pretty much stuck to it.
Books I read that were not on my summer reading list:
The Vampire Stalker
The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake
Shiver
Shift (Shade 2)
Books that WERE on my list but didn't get read....yet.
Under the Dome
The Virgins Lover
Colonel Brandon's Diary
Birthmarked...but I'm reading it now and counting it as a summer read. ;)
So my original plans were to read 21 and I managed 22 so I don't feel guilty at all. So did you have reading plans this summer? Did you fulfill said plans?
