Sunday Salon (In Pictures!)

Welcome to the new Sunday Salon. A weekly update post about my boring life. ;)

Well, I had this crazy idea that it would be fun...well, at least different, to do this post in pictures and to let you get a glimpse into my life. I'm starting to think it's a stupid idea, after all, but I've taken the pictures so I'm going to do it.

Weather Small Talk: The view from my window.

Music Discoveries:  Lullaby by One Republic

On The Idiot Box: Where all that time wasting takes place. ;) The eopisode of Grimm on Friday was awesome!!! And ANTM is back! Whoohoo!

Weekly Reads: Working on The Man Who Mistook His Wife For A Hat for book club. Room (is something going to happen anytime soon?)  Queen of the Dead because I needed something light before I went crazy! K, here's how bad my lack of shelf space has got. I never stack books on the floor!

Crazy Kitty: Is wondering why I woke her up from her nap with a rude flash.

This Week: My sister blogged about her son who loves to read. Ahhh.

Movie of the Week: Man on a Ledge. The movie was fun and suspenseful and, hey, it has Sam Worthington. I suffered through Clash of the Titans for him!  See, we have to put this refillable bucket to use...a lot!

Food Talk: I'm now going to advertise something and not get paid for it. I LOVE these things! I wrap hamburgers, sandwiches and everything else in them and there's only 8 carbs in each one!

Soccer Sightings: My Calender. Purchased for a mere 20 dollars...hmmm, I prefer my homemade ones better. ;)

Plans For The Week: Yeah, I need to get new shoes but that's not the plan for the week. I just plan on putting these to better use. I haven't exercise hardly at all for three weeks! Tsk tsk.

  1. When Cathy's kids came over for dinner the other night, C brought "Moby Dick" and asked me to read it to him.;)

  2. I love the pictures idea! New insights into shelvage. It's a constant battle in my house for space for books and DVDs. Also, I'm working on TMWMHWFAH too, and I don't think anything happens. Ever. :( Finally, I think I have to buy those tortillas. Do you know if you can get them anywhere other than Costco?

    1. TMWMHWFAH, isn't the one bugging me. I'm fine with the little stories. It's Room that has me wondering if something is going to happen.

    2. Oh, and I've seen them at Maceys once.

  4. Yes, another Sam Worthington lover! Although I admit I've been cheating on him a bit with Henry Cavill, I'm a sucker for men that wear skirts in movies. But Sam will get me back for Clash of the Titans 2 (although I will not be bothering to see it in 3D unless Sam is going to be over an air vent).

And I'm with you on the shelf space. I just need to take down all my pictures and wallpaper the house in bookshelves so that I have enough space. I thought getting a Kindle and a Nook would cut down on my book stock, but it hasn't.

    1. Yeah, I'll go see the stupid second one too. Just for him. Too bad there aren't any vents in ancient Greece. ;)

Totally want to just have walls of book shelves instead of pictures and such. ;)

  5. Awesome idea! Love it! Yes, stuff happens in Room, do NOT stop reading! Is Sam Worthington the Avatar dude? Or am I getting him mixed up with someone else? So confused. I haven't started TMWMHWFAH yet. Is this a problem?

  6. Lol. I've taken pictures of our pets with the flash on my phone. The cats either freak out or give me a dirty look. And those Flatout breads are great--my mom used to get them a lot. :)

  8. Can the pictures be the new weekly feature? So much fun. At least all of your books are stacked in one spot. Mine are all over the place all around my house collecting dust :(

    1. No. I'm being a party pooper. I just don't want to see the movie bad enough to stay up that late. :(
