In My Thoughts This Fine Day

Just a few random things on my mind lately.

I need to start working on my arms again and I don't want to!!!! I hate lifting weights, especially with my arms. I have the most pathetic arms ever! I want to look good in a swimsuit though, and flabby arms aren't so very attractive. You guys ever work your arms? What works best for you?

I know that we're all sick of the stupid captcha security codes. I am too, however, in a rare show of optimism, I've decided I'm going to write and epic fantasy book using captcha codes for my characters names. Fantasy books always have the weirdest named characters and I think the captcha codes will work beautifully. What?! They have to be good for something!

Yeah, OK, auto correct can be infuriating at times (and funny) but I actually rely on it big time. I hate my stupid touch screen phone. I must have big fat finger to go with my flabby arms cause I'm always hitting the wrong keys. So, yeah, auto correct is quite handy. However, I do find myself wondering why my computer isn't fixing my mistakes. Sigh, stupid auto correct is making me lazy!

Oh yeah baby! I'm going to California this weekend!!! What does that have to do with Boston Market? Well, unfortunately for whatever reason, there isn't a Boston Market in Utah. It's probably a good thing, though as I LOVE their chocolate cake and would eat it three times a day if I was able. Oh man, just looking at that picture is making my mouth water. Can't wait!!!

  1. I Hate touch screen phones! I use to text my friends all the time, now I avoid it if possible and I use my house phone to make phone calls because I always manage to hang up on everyone with my stupid cell phone.

    1. Plus cell phones drop calls way more often than they should. Come on, people!

  2. Captcha codes as names, you're brilliant. Have fun in California! :D

  3. That auto correct is my favorite!!! I love it!!! And, I think captcha codes as names sounds awesome. Talk about taking out all the guess work and yet still having awesome, weird names for a fantasy! I call dibs on reading your MS (if you'll let me, lol).

I have pathetic arms too. I can't even do a single regular pushup. I have no upper body strength at all. Good luck with it! Let me know what you do so I can steal it and do it myself. :D

    1. Yeah, I have to do the girl push ups and even then, I can only do like 15 at a time. So pathetic. Wasn't that auto correct hilarious?! I laughed so hard I just had to share.

  4. This is really why I read your blog. Thanks for making me smile (and possibly snort) while I read. I LOATHE auto correct, though it's usually helpful on my phone, just not on my tablet.

  5. Aww, this post really made me laugh :D

I LOVE that picture with the cat, and the idea of using captcha codes as character names is just genius!!!

But that picture for the auto correct had me crying with laughter. Makes me kind of glad I haven't got it on my phone!

Thanks for brightening my day :)

  6. I don't like auto correct. If I don't disable it, everything I write for class looks funny because Word doesn't know any biology or chemistry words. I don't mind that it underlines things though. That way I can see if the word is wrong-wrong or just Word-wrong.

The captcha idea for names sounds good. Most of the captchas I've seen look like names of alien planets.

    1. I know, they're such weird combinations and they totally sound like some funky alien name.

  7. I don't even know where to begin.... the captcha codes as fantasy names makes me kind of love you... and the autocorrect always makes me laugh, my phone always corrects my misspelling of writing to "erotic" which is occasionally awkward and once I wrote "I love the script", but it autocorrected to "I love the scrotum" which was definitely awkward... as for lifting weights, I am absolutely not the best toned person ever but I do Les Mills Body Pump (you can find a class on the website), which focuses on low weight, high reps (which tones fast instead of building bulk). The group environment means that you push through instead of getting lazy and quitting halfway through (as i do on my own sometimes), and it's actually a lot of fun. I've been sick the last two weeks and I'm terrified of getting back into class, but also so excited! They switch up the choreography every 3 months and you can always add more weight if it gets easy so this class is constantly pushing you. I love it!

    1. I'm going to have to check out this class. I'd rather tone than build bulk so that's good.

Thanks for making ME laugh with you auto correct stories. So funny!

  9. Auto-correcting "kissed" for "killed," lol! That is precious. The guy's reaction to killed is rather mild, though. That's probably the funniest part.

I love Captcha words! I hate typing them into a comment screener, but the random words are totally funny. They'd make good names for characters or usernames in forums, etc. Great idea.

I hate typing captcha codes too. I figured they have to be good for something, though.

  10. Love the Captcha word idea! I seriously have been at war with Captcha (only it's totally winning because I don't want to be rude and yell at bloggers who are still using it even though I want to yell at bloggers who are still using it).

    I want cake.

    1. I feel the captcha pain, my fingers itch to type out an angry rant at the bloggers who still use it therefore I shall join in the endevour to beat captcha (even though I doubt we'll win)

      I also want cake.

    2. Yeah, go team get-rid-of-captcha! Only, let me get my fantasy names picked out first. ;)

  11. Love the idea for fantasy names! It's much better than picking out of a scrabble bag, which is what I would have done.

Something creepy about auto correct: I use the word "so" a lot, and sometimes I will type "do" (which is a word) and it will correct it to "so". How does it know that I want that? It's happened with a few other words too but I can't think of them right now. It's like it always knows what I'm thinking and that creeps me out!
