I've Been Missing You Say?

I've been missing in action have I? Well, yes, I have. Why you ask? Cast your eyes on this...

Enough said. Am I right? ;)

Yes, I finally got myself a man...a mighty hot one too, right? So, yeah, I'm just slightly distracted but don't worry. I'm slowly starting to pry him off me (yeah, I'm that hot) so I can read again and I expect to get a few reviews up soon.

In the mean time, I thought I'd list a few things I learned about myself from being in a relationship. (sad but true, it is my first relationship, after all) See, I'm constantly gagging at romance in books unless I happen to like the love interest, which really doesn't happen that often. I even wrote a post about how I just didn't get why YA books were always going on about the way a guy smelled to the heroine. Yes, I was quite the skeptic. Here's what I've learned... so far.

1 I finally get the smell thing! Oh boy, do I get it!

2 Guy's really are kinda as sappy as they are in books

3 Sorry but I still don't believe in insta love. It just doesn't work that way...for me, anyway, and if any guy is worthy of falling instantly in love with it's my guy.

4 I'm not sentimental. That just may be why I'm always eyebrow raising and eye rolling at romance in books...however, my guy is super sentimental, so he evens us out.

5 Last but now least, I think I'll have a little more patience and understanding for romance in books now...maybe. ;)

  2. That's a very good excuse for being Mia :) but I hope you'll be around a little more often now! Nothing wrong with the way you feel about YA romance. I totally don't believe in insta-love and I doubt I ever will.

  4. Well if ever there was a good reason to be MIA, that would be it! I was so shocked when I got an email notification about your last blog post and I left it open to comment on but then this one popped up. I've missed you! Glad you're back...and since I'm a romance junkie (who happens to write those kind of books as well as read them), I'm glad you get them more now. ;-)

  5. Yay! It's nice to see you back Jenny. I've missed you around the bloggy things. But cute boys make for a lovely distraction, so I guess you're off the hook. :)

  6. +JMJ+

Until I read the story under the photo, I thought that he was one of your Real Madrid football players! ;-)

Anyway, this is great news, especially since most blogging hiatuses are due to stress or to negative developments. I'm really happy for you! And it's interesting that you're getting new insight into Romances. =) Now that you mention it, the majority of the guys I've dated were likely sappier than I was--though I don't know if that is because I am already less sappy than most people!

  8. That's wonderful news! :D It's great that you've been able to understand things from books a little bit more from it. I know the feeling. ;)

I've missed you though so I can't wait to hear more from you and see more of you soon. :) *hugs*
