October Wrapup 2012

Oh boy. Well at least I read two books this month.  Life's been crazy busy and I've been stressed and depressed. I'm sorry to all my blogging friends. Excuse my absence around here and on your own blogs. I'm not giving up but I need a break. :( Anywho, Here's the two books I read this month.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E Smith
Cute and fun with just a touch of depth.

Odd Apocalypse by Dean Koontz
Weird and creepy but, oh, how I LOVE Odd.

Yep, that's it. And I liked them both. So I guess if you only manage two books in a month but you love them both then it's not too shabby. Am I right? ;)

  1. I count it a good month when I read 2 books that I like....lately I count it good if I read any 2 books....not counting "take home books" with my kindergartener...though I might start counting those...Maybe I'll start a book review blog dedicated to those...Today's would be on Daniels Pet by Alma Flor Ava....or maybe I'll just start work on getting at least 7 hours sleep.

    1. Yeah, I'd just work on getting more sleep. Wish I could get more myself.

  2. Definitely a good thing, if you liked both the books you read. It's becoming harder for me to like the books I'm reading lately, as you know. Best of luck pulling out of the stress!

  6. 2 good books are worth more than 10 bad ones, so yeah, you did good. Hope November shapes up better for you, over all. ;)

    1. Yes, considering I usually read about 8 books and only like two I figure this is a good thing.

  8. If you're only going to read 2 books in a month at least they were good ones! I'll be starting Odd Thomas soon so get ready!

Don't worry about taking a break, we all need breaks occasionally and forcing yourself to read/blog/whatever is not the answer. Things will get better soon.

    1. Yeah, I was trying to force myself and it was making it worse. I'm really excited to see what you think of Odd. :)

  11. You are right!

How are you feeling these past few days anyway? Any better? Do you see the end of this slumpy dumpy place yet? I hope so!!!

  12. Sorry that you're still in a reading slump. Wish I could help you get out of it! Maybe watch lots of TV??? I'm sorry that's the best I've got. I'm getting the seasonal depression too. Maybe we should all do Yoga.

  13. I can totally relate to what you're going through Jenny. When you're working full time coming home and feeling like you have to blog feels like more work. Take a break. It'll do you good. 2 books is a lot better than I did!

  14. We all need a break now and then. I'm so glad that you liked the books you did get a chance to read :) Feel better soon.

  15. Heck, I'd rather read 2 great books that 4 mediocre books! :)

So sorry to hear you're in a slump, but I totally understand. I was in a slump for like 3 years after I had my baby. Hang in there and please know that you are sincerely missed!

  16. I'm glad you enjoyed your two books. Sometimes I feel like I read 10 bad books for every good book, and then I get into a slump.

  17. I'm going through my own reading/blogging slump at the moment too, and I also only managed to get two books read last month. And one of those was a short story! Hopefully things will pick up for us both a bit this month :)

  18. +JMJ+

Quality and quantity each have something to recommend them! =)

Reading only two books but really liking both of them has its own special flavour . . . as, perhaps, reading six books and panning all of them would be another interesting twist. I do like your monthly wrapups!
