The place...
My Library! |
Just the one I'll be working on. |
The Snacks...
Mmmm! Grasshopper cookies! |
And, yeah! So I probably won't actually be able to participate very much this time. Stupid life! That's why I only have one book to work on. I do plan to read what I can and snack on my yummy treats. Everyone have fun! I'll see you on the other side!
Good luck!! This is a great idea. Am now thinking of having my very own readathon once a month for a day like this!
ReplyDeleteFun! I loved Donaldson's Edenbrooke; hope Blackmoore is just as good. Happy Reading!! :)
ReplyDeleteI signed up for the first time ever about 5 minutes ago. I'm not sure I can participate for the whole day, but I want to for as long as I can. I need a fun day like this to enjoy. :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Jenny! If I wasn't rebelling against reading books right now (don't know what my alter ego is thinking these days), I would find this pretty cool. Instead, I'm thinking I would love to do something like this with anime right now! Uh, oh... better not give myself any ideas.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find more time than you think you will. You should drop by and say hi here sometime during the day!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great day of reading, and find more time than you had originally planned!
ReplyDeleteWOOHOO!!!!!!! Go you! Isn't this readathon a blast????? Hope you are having fun and keep the reading love alive!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm not participating too much this time around either, but did manage some reading around the edges today and some cheering tonight. Hope you're having a great 'thon!
ReplyDeleteYour reading spot looks so comfy! And your snacks are making me hungry...I've never heard of Grasshoppers, so I'm guessing we probably don't have them here. I didn't hear about the readathon until partway through yesterday so I didn't participate - boo! I hope you were able to get lots of reading done! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love your library. Looks like such a cozy spot! Grasshoppers are the best. Now I'm craving them. I might have to make a special trip to the grocery store ...
ReplyDeleteGrasshoppers are like having thin mints any damn time I want! Love them. I did participate in Readathon, read a lot of graphic novels, but mostly hung out with my nieces and cheered. But I tend to treat Readathon like a national holiday. ;)
ReplyDeleteI always miss the Readathon. ALWAYS! Oh well! Curious to hear what you thought of Blackmoore! I adore Julianne Donaldson's books when I'm in the mood for something light and historical!
ReplyDeleteOhh, the place is simply marvelous, and the book looks fantastic! But the most alluring thing are the sweets, let's be honest here. :) I hope you enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand about life being busy. AND YOUR LIBRARY IS SO SUPER CUTE I WANT IT!
