Shelving Saturday is a weekly blog event hosted by Ang at Eastern Sunset Reads. Each week she will post a shelving dilemma or question and you can join her in the response.
So the last couple of weeks we completed re-organizing our bookshelves in a way that suits each of us. Now this week I want to start discussing virtual shelving. Most of us little bookworms already are aware of the online websites that help us keep track of our books, but I want to spend a few weeks discussing them. The main sites that I know of are Shelfari, LibraryThing and Goodreads. So do you use any of these sites or all three of them? Or do you know of another one that I don't have listed? Please share.
I'm a Goodreads girl all the way, but I have checked out Shelfari and, if I'm remembering correctly, I loved that you could looks up books by subject matter. Very helpful. My only real problem with Goodreads is I never added books that I read before I started using Goodreads. That's OK, right? Nobody would probably bother and I didn't intend to either, however, I would, at least, like to add the books I own that were read long before I joined Goodreads, but it will bombard my poor friends with update emails. Weird reason, I know, but what can I say? I'm weird.
So...? How about you? What book organizing sites do you use? Am I missing out on a great one?
