Summer TV Wrapup 2011

Yeah, so sue me, I'm doing a filler post because my creativity is on the fritz. I watch a few summer TV series and all but two have ended so I thought I'd mention my thoughts on the cliffhanger (or lack of) endings.

Argh! This one totally took me by surprise. I was pulled into the series, went for one heck of a ride in a mere six weeks and then...what a cliffhanger!

MTV's Teen Wolf. Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want. I'm not ashamed. Well, maybe a little. ;) All the same, I was all wrapped up in this one despite the non-cliffhanger ending.  (oh Derick why? why?! I'll miss your blue eyes!)

It started bad, the acting drove me nuts, (I'm looking at you Alek!) and it wasn't my favorite but it definitely takes cliffhanger ending off the summer! Holy crap! Seriously? Now I'm going to have to read the books.

Covert Affairs. I'll admit the biggest reason I watch this one is because of Auggie. How can I resist? Not much of a cliffhanger here, though.

I also watch Burn Notice and Suits but they still have a few episodes left so we'll see how they end. So how about you? Are you a summer TV person, or do you actually have a life?

  1. The Falling Skies finale was crazy! I'm excited to see where they take this show. I just wish we didn't have to wait a whole year for the next season.

I love Covert Affairs too, and mostly because of Auggie. Love him! I was kind of disappointed with the finale. I thought Annie was going to get sick when she got cut, but then it only gave her reason to see the doctor to say she was too busy to see him anymore. Ugh! I really do hope Annie and Auggie get together.

  2. As much as I am in love with Noah Wyle, I just couldn't get into Falling Skies at all. But then again, my TV watching has dropped off a lot since I started getting super serious about my book.

  3. Summer TV is usually pretty meh and I haven't watched any of the series you mentioned. I think the only summer TV show I am watching at the moment is Weeds and that is more a legacy thing because I watched it from the start. I HATE major cliffhangers!!
Can't wait for fall TV to start :)

  4. Jenni, Yeah, that's what I hate about summer series; you have to wait a whole year to see what happens. I'm glad I'm not the only one who hopes she ends up with Auggie. ;)

Lan, Good for you! You're better than me. I just waste time...a lot.

Selina, I'm excited for fall TV too, it's much better than summer TV.

  5. I was totally hooked on Teen Wolf and Chloe King this summer as well!! I thought the acting in Chloe King was terrible to begin with as well....but I kept tuning in each week if only to hear Alec's gorgeous voice! I've read the entire series but can't for the life of me remember any of this happening :P I should probably re-read them to find out!

  7. Natalie, You're my hero! Every time I mentioned Teen Wolf I got nothing but crickets! I'm glad I wasn't the only one watching it. I'm sure the Chloe King books are completely different than the TV series, but I still have got to read them.

Suey, I'm not sure, I don't have Netflix, but, as you know, Teen Wolf is On Demand, or it was, and my sister did tell me she saw Kyle XY on Netflix.
