1 When Harry Potter finally kissed Ginny for the first time.
The movie got it so wrong, oh well. |
2 In I Am the Messenger when Ed gives Sophie the shoe box with no shoes. If you haven't read this one yet, what on earth are you waiting for?!
3 In The Schwa Was Here when Antsy graffitis the whole neighborhood.
4 In The Wednesday Wars when Holling saves his sister from being hit by a bus. And, yes, this was a gasp moment too.
5 In White Cat when Cassel shares a moment with Maura on the stairs at his brothers house.
6 Almost any moment between Eragon and Saphira from The Inheritance series.
7 In Persuasion when Anne get the letter from Captain Wentworth.
8 In Odd Thomas when...OK, almost any time Odd opens his mouth I say, AWWW!
9 In Pride and Prejudice when Darcy goes and finds Lydia and Wickham and forces them to get married.
10 In Wives and Daughters when Roger finds Molly crying in the garden.
I could go on and on with my list. So how about you, what are your favorite AWWW moments?
I love when Harry and Ginny finally kiss too. Although, for my list, I chose Ron and Hermione's kiss because I was anticipating it for the entire series. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree about Harry and Ginny's kiss. It almost made my list. The movie kiss was definitely not as good.
ReplyDeleteI'm just not terribly ooey-gooey, so I tweeked "awww" to be moments that give one pause. Here's my Top Ten "Awww" Moments. I hope you'll stop by and see what you think.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be the tiny voice of dissent on Harry & Ginny - they never worked for me, but I loved Bill & Fleur. :)
ReplyDeleteI have to think about this for a bit. I might even post this later because I'm more and more loving this meme!
Jenni Elyse, LOL! To be honest, I don't even remember Ron and Hermione's kiss.
ReplyDeleteLoni, Yeah, the movie botched it bad.
Deb, I liked your idea as well.
Kaye, I'd look forward to your top tens.
I loved Harry and Ginny in the book, but their movie relationship is all kinds of awkward for me.
ReplyDeleteI need to read Wives and Daughters because everyone loves it. (And says "you haven't read it?!? when I bring it up)
Kathy, Don't feel bad about not reading it. Some people don't know this but the author died before finishing the book so it doesn't end. Not good. So...I would recommend the movie which is one of my favorite movies ever! But the book is good but you might want to watch the movie first.
